Dragonblight got wrapped up a few days back. I got the achievement, but there were still about a dozen quests or so that I finished. The goblins in the Ice Canyon area, and the light's trust camp.
This left me with 3 quests in my journal for the Nerubian dungens. Before completeing these quest, I went back and farmed the voidwalker boss in The Nexus for Tomb of the Lore Keeper off hands for my druids. I already had 2 of them and needed a pair more. This took about 6-7 runs to get.
One time leaving The Nexus, I zoned into the cauldren in the middle of a group of horde. They attacked so I zoned back into the instance. I took about 10 seconds then zoned back out and unleashed hell. In less than 30 seconds they were all dead. Prolly around 12-15 seconds was all it took and their group was dead. They really stood no chance being in the 70-74 range and I was 78. Not that it would have mattered much if they were higher level anyway.
I took on Azjol-Nerub first. Very easy instance. Im not sure what was up with the spider boss, When he walked up, he was at like 10k health and died w/o doing a point of damage. He also did not drop any loot or xp. The last boss on the first attempt killed my group. The spikes just did me in. On the second attempt he was easy sauce, I fought him just like I did Hungerfen in the Underbog. When he was up I DPS. when he was buried, I just walked backwards and killed all the adds and didnt take a single spike.
Ahn'kahet was a bit tougher. I had 2 complete wipes on trash. Just bad pulls or got add's. The Nerubian spell caster guys had a shadow blast/bolt thing that a couple of times smacked me in the 7-9k range. The first boss I lost a druid. I almost didn't beat this guy as it took a bit and I was almost OOM when I found out you have to kill the guardians when they spawn or he is immune. Knowing what I know now, he should be trivial. Instead of spreading out my team in a formation, just keeping them all on auto follow will be fine. They were outside of consecration aura but Retribution Aura was able to kill the adds. But if they had been on my paladins ass, they would have taken little to no damage with consecration.
The second boss was easy sauce. I had read about him and his vampire kiss stun thing and his aoe lazerbeam sun thing. The AOE was pathetic. Like 300 damage a hit. The vampire life suck was easy to heal through. I have a not so new macro, but useing it in a new way on my druids. Its quite simple. Just rejuv strait from the book on a hot key and the checkmark to cast ben spells on self. So if they have a boss or mob targeted I press '8' and all 4 drids cast rejuv on themselves. Well I can also target one druid with my paladin. Then hit '1' for /assist followed by '8' and the targeted druid will get all 4 rejuves just like my paladin does. this is what I did to easy heal through this fight.
I skipped the 3rd boss as I was running out of time and went strait for the last guy that I had the quest for to kill. I read about his insanity phase stuff and my plan was on the first to use Starfall and the second to use treants. Self healing to stay alive. Both times this was very OP for the phase. The druids killed their nightmares and starfall was still going when they phased into the paladins nightmare. Same with the treants. All in all, the bosses were easier here than in Azjol-Nerub.
I do need to go back and kill that 3rd boss for the achievement. I know I can skip the first boss, maybe even the second so it shouldnt be a big deal to do. It also reads up to be an easy sauce fight.
