Pimp my Macros

[Coltimar]

I have a mixed team I am trying to adjust to, they are level 64. I have played all of the classes solo, but I am having trouble getting the best out of each class. I am open to suggestions:

Filrean - Pally Tank

Not bad, around 490 dps, but I feel like I could do more. It hangs for some reason at times and he does nothing :/

Her dps, with the imp out, is around 465 with this.

I also have a macro on the pull button that does CoE (CoDoom if I push shift). This was an RAF team so I had no macros at all except follow from 1-60. I am trying to retro-fit them with things that work. Any suggestions are welcome. I know some of them may be sloppy or error filled. I have basically been subbing macros from this site in and out and trying to find good fits.

I stopped using the nodead condition in my dps macros after i discovered it wouldn't let me cast on hunters that used feign death.

Try small parts. Usually if you do one thing, it works and when you add more, you notice what you just did that made it not work.

Hopefully it either works (mistyped or something silly) or it breaks in a noticeable way. One thing that sometimes helps is shift-clicking spells from your spellbook so they are formated/spelled correctly. Hope that helps.

save some characters on macros by using

/use 13
/use 14

for your trinkets. 13 will be the upper slot and 14 will be the lower slot. This way you dont have to type out the whole name of the trinket everytime you upgrade.

just remember on the mindflay's when you are spamming your dps button its going to just cast the first second of it and stop and try to cast it again. If you want to mindflay properly you'll have to move it to a different key than your main dps spamming button.

It isn't exact but my dps went from 267 on a level 60 dummy to 513! I might mess with this /click business more on other toons, but I still need to get Saprill's perfected first.

Any good ideas on my mage? I want to pop Water Elemental when it's up, Icy Veins when it's up and Cold Snap when I can (so I can get my WE out more), and I want to spam Frostbolt. No Ice Lance or any other junk, but FB. I have a separate macro with Cone of Cold, Frost Nova and AE on it.

To get the SPriest to cast Mind Flay or ANY channeled spell you have to use /assist. At least I found that was the only thing that made my 5 box lock team spam drain life channels.

@Oatboat - for some reason the /use 13 and /use 14 won't work on my toons since 3.1. They only have one trinket equipped but that shouldn't matter. Something weird is going on there.

I just worked out a dps macro from my warlock. It added about 200 dps, bringing here to around 640 or so.

At times this does nothing, even if the Water Elemental's CD is up.

Try removing the reset or lowering it? If you're hitting your pull button again before 144 seconds are up, you would run into issues where you're restarting the timer and nothing will go off because it's stuck on waiting for the coldsnap timer to progress. If it can't reach the end of the macro because CS is still on cooldown, it can't loop around to the start of the macro to pop the WE, and it can't reset because you told it to wait 144 seconds without any action in order to clear its' status in the macro.
