    Default Blizzard has made me sad

    Got this email from them today. Have sent a please explain email thier way, but for the life of me i cannot work out why this has happened. I have been concentrating on solo boxing for the last month, and logged my second and third account last night for the first time in 3 weeks to get suspended. Never has any warnings on my accounts and get this. Hopefully my email will sort it out, as all accounts are and always havebeen mine, all paid for by me on my credit card, and i am the only one to use them.. the email didn't even say which account it was (something i have asked for)... nervous days ahead for me

    But i suppose this could have a silver lining, if the ban me for no reason it will free up some time for my xbox as they will be doing themselves out of all 5 of my monthly subscriptions.

    first part of email;

    *** NOTICE OF FINAL WARNING ***

    Account Offense: Violation of EULA and Terms of Service - Transfer of Account Ownership

    Details: An investigation of your World of Warcraft account has found strong evidence that the account in question is being sold or traded. In accordance with EULA section 4, Paragraph B, listed below:

    3 hours for account trading? I thought 3 hour ban hammers were for minor infractions like swearing in open chat or spamming. Post the full e-mail, with headers {take out your email and account info, of course.}

    Default Hope this helps.

    A buddy of mine got the same type of e-mail a couple days ago. Doesn't tell you which account got suspended and asks you to log into the account managment site and confirm your info such as account name password and e-mail address?

    The one my buddy got was a fake. If you followed the instructions in the email you need to quickly go change your passwords and hopefully you can cut off the hackers.

    Thats a Phishing email mate, Sent in the Hope that you will enter your account details in that final link that directs to "http://www.battlenet.host50mb.com"

    If you have entered your details best bet is to run a virus and malware scan as well as change your password, preferably from a different computer to the one you visited the link from

    Didn't see the 'legitimate owner' bit. If it is a scam one they got nothing from my reply, if it is blizzard then hopefully they will get back to me soon. Though i did get a 'donotreply@blizzard.com' reply from my response to this email which is the same address as one i got as a response from a gm ticket i had a few days ago.

    It's clearly not Blizzard.

    If you didn't click on the link, you have nothing at all to worry about.

    I highly suggest you log into your account and change your password asap. That was a phishing email.

    Might want to break that link to the scam site in your post. Blizz won't ask you to go somewhere to "verify" things like your email, cc or login info, they already have that information. The e-mail is probably spoofed so it still looks ok, they're counting on you panicking and just going to the site they list when Blizz doesn't answer right away.
