Thread: Boosting!

  1. #1

    Default Boosting!

I have 2 accounts linked via RAF that i am boosting with my 80 paladin, they are both level 40 and i have moved onto zul'farrak buy i am having a huge problem with getting hex'd as soon as i get hexed all the mobs run after my 2 low levels, making it really hard for me to boost them efficently. So i was wondering is there anyway to help stop this? Anywhere my low levels should be stood?

    All help is greatly apprieciated

What I did was just pull the first stretch, then reset. Avoid the hexing guys. Alternatively, just try to get 1 or 2 of those guys in a pull and stomp them first.

I had that same problem when i was leveling. Just park your lowbies REALLY FAR away so much so that they aren't in combat.

I've found that for 35-45 sunken temple is easier and faster to boost in than ZF. Heres a link to a video of how I used to do it. You can also add the upper ring level to what I showed there to take up more time so you don't hit the number of instances cap.

My guys are now both level 45 so whats the best thing to do? carry on with ZF until 50 then move onto strath till 58? or is there a better and more effiecient way to go about things?

    Go to straholme now.

I levelled my last few characters in Stratholme from 45-58.
I did one full run to get the key to the side entrance, then just cleared undead side, and all the undead mobs on the live side (left the scarlet compound).
I didn't do the baron runs and pretty much two runs would level the team.

I used the same strategy to level up like 5-6 teams. Works very well. BTW, 45 is the min level to enter Strat, so enter now and it is the sweet spot.

If you can get a lock summon at 55 to the HFP instance stone, don't stay in Strat until 58. As soon as you hit 55 goto outlands, you'll be 60 in 1-2 hours.

Also be mindful in Stratholme undead side, take the ghosts out first they like to silence.
Also be mindful of Eye of Naxx!! I can't count how many times poor AcidBurn was taken out by a gargoyle.

Default Look there, on the horizon. It's a Hunter! Ooooof. Thud...

    Ahh good 'ol ZF!

I didn't have any problems with Hex in ZF while boosting (and I boosted 2 teams through there and many of my guildees lowbie alts as well). The reason? I used a ranged class. The range that the shadow casters can use hex is not that far. If they start casting, take a step back, you will still be in range to shoot them. This instance was Cake for my 70 Hunter. I can't imagine how easy it would be now at 80. I should mention that I always boosted with at least one healer class with me. My pallies, shaman or guildmates were responsible for tossing a heal now and then.

    Zul'Farrak - didn't go too well...I guess..
