[WoW] dual spec reset bug

Hi all. Very frustrated here as this bug has been bothering me since prior to today's patch. was hoping this tuesday maintenance patch would've fixed it, but no dice.

The problem is that on my death knight team, dual spec'ed as primary unholy, secondary frost. without warning, i would lose my frost spec. Not all of it, I would still keep the 18 points that i put into blood, and the 2 points in +30 to runic power, but the other 51 points in frost would be lost and i'd have to spend time speccing again. the loss is simultaneous on all 5 toons, and it's identical in that all would keep the 18 points in blood and 2 point in frost for 30 runic. everything else would be refunded.

before i would have the same thing happen to my unholy spec as well (keep 18 point in blood 2 point in frost for +30 runic power. my 51 points in unholy would be lost. but that hasnt happened in a few days while the frost spec would be lost periodically even as i'm playing)

anyone else experience this problem? any fixes? I'm petitioning the gm right now but not too hopeful based on my previous experience with them.

Had the same problem on my druid - I understand it's just a display issue, when I relogged the toon it fixed itself.

Hi Stealthy. I had that problem you described when 3.1 first came out. (my talent points didnt display properly and it was off by how many points i had to spend.) and relogging did fix that. However this is different. I tried relogging by completely exiting out of wow, and this didnt fix it. I thought it might be a serverside issue so I waited until the patch this tuesday to fix it. upon login I am still missing those 51 talent points.

After respeccing after tuesday's patch, I played for about 30 minutes and in the middle of doing my round of dailies, I lost my 51 points in my secondary spec again.

upon reflection, I am ONLY missing the talent points that differ between my primary and secondary spec. the 18 points in blood and 2 points in frost that is identical in both my primary and secondary specs are NOT lost. Not sure if this has any bearing upon my issue.

My druid actually reset his spec completely. I think it might have had to do with being in bear form when switching from feral to healy. /shrug Would be nice if they gave us some idea of the reported bug experiences and some possible specifics on how to work around it.
