    Default Hotfix for Autofollow issues

SOE Dev Autenil posts that there should be a hotfix coming this week to fix the following AF issues :

    - Strafing was not causing the following player to run in a circle around the leader
    - The follower would sometimes run off in a strange direction (follower had auto-attack on and leader targeted and leader cleared target)
    - Running away from a target with auto-attack turned on would cause flickering

Hope this fixes the climbing thing I've been seeing. Nothing more annoying than getting to the top of a wall, scooting forward and watching half my toons go back down the wall and start heading off in the other direction.

I've only had this happen a few times, but I wonder if it's because I have "/autoattack 0" set to my follow key?
Glad to see they are working on it either way though.

Speaking of melee setup!!! Out of Assassin / Ranger / Swashy / Brigand, which is less ... whats the word, required to micromanage, going for easiest to utilize.

Assassin is very bad for/because of special attacks. Can't speak for the others yet.

The Assassin will need to be behind for most special attacks as well as stealth.
The Ranger will need to be behind and a little further out so that they can do both melee & ranged. Getting the range right consistantly will be frustrating.
Both the Swashbuckler and Brigand will require rear, front or flank posistions depending on which CA is being used. Less depenedence on stealth though.

From a boxing perspective though, none of these are insurmountable. If you have a tank that can spin the mobs (can only think of Monks here via AA, but I'm sure there are more) then the 2 rogues are fairly easy. If you are creative with your macros, the assassin can fire off stealth attacks fairly easily without being micromanaged. IMO, I'd think the Ranger will be hardest depending how small or large your group is and how well your independant movement keys are setup.

One of the things I ended up doing was grabbing a new Target Ring from EQ2Interface. The default rings were kind of hard for me to see on my setup. The bolder rings make it easier for me to see where I should be with my troub slave, so I can better gauge positioning for range/melee dancing.

    Target Rings

I personally like Zy's Celtic. The contrasting colors make it easier to see on different ground textures.

That's a pretty nice target ring. I may have to take a look at some of those.
