Any poosibility of getting a cable modem for one of you? My wife has used a cable modem for years, while I used DSL. Lately Comcast got so flaky here (lots of disconnects) that we finally went for a second DSL line instead, but cable in your area may be better. Even HD television here is plagued with periods of bad picture and no or poor sound.

Also, if cable IS available, you might let the phone company know that you are going cable unless they compromise on the second DSL line. Embarq really went treated us great when they found out they were replacing a cable modem!

As for the bandwidth issues, I have no clue except that when my wife was having a REALLY bad time with her cable (out for a whole weekend) we moved her network to mine, and we ten boxed just fine. We maybe don't even need two DSL lines, but the second one doesn't cost much and I often six box, and we've both talked about ten boxing (and have the accounts to do so)

And, No, I have no idea what speed my DSL is.
