    Default Suggestions on a 5th?

My wife and I play WoW together. Currently she is an 80th lvl heroic geared Paladin tank, I am an 80th lvl heroic geared holy priest.

Our kids have two accounts they seldom use. Enter two boxing!

No RAF since the accounts are too old, but we've currently worked up 2 mages by instance boosting with her paladin. Sitting at 42nd level when it occured to us....if we're going to 2 box for 4 toons, why not just 5 box between the two of us and level up a 3rd alt...with RAF on the 5th account we'd catch it up pretty fast I'm sure.

So here's the great debate. What compliments this group best? A 3rd mage? An elemental shaman? If some of you guys who've been doing this awhile had pally/priest/mage/mage as an existing setup, what would be your best recommended 5th toon? I plan on 3boxing the priest and 2 mages so I can just holynova/arcaneblast/arcaneblast or straight heals and arcane missiles, what would be easiest and/or most effective to two box with a paladin?

Thanks in advance for any tips. If we enjoy this as much as we think we're going to, we may someday branch into 2 5 man teams to try to clear a bit of things like Naxxramas if it's feasible. Who knows?

Since you've already got great decurse abilities, I'd go Boomkin or Elemental Shammy for synergistic buffs or totems to augment everyone.

i whould go for the elemental shammy for all the benefits it bring mana spring, totem of wrath, tremor they arevery useful and antifear is almost a need

3rd mage would be the simplest

shaman would bring a good amount of utility with totems, Mana Spring Totem/Totem of Wrath since everyones got a blue bar , tremor totem makes anything that fears easier and off healer in a pinch.

druid wouldnt be bad either nice dps, Gift of the Wild, earth and moon, faire fire, improved moonkin form, off healer

I would look into warlock also brings soulstone,Curse of the Elements, ability to summon which is really nice when yer farming and yeh notice all yer bags are full or need to repair :P, pet either felhunter for Fel Intelligence,Spell Lock and Devour Magic or imp for Fire Shield or Blood Pact

problay missed a few things :P

Don't you need two linked low level characters to make the most of the RAF bonus? (you get to chose two new alts )

id make 2 a boomkin and a shammy they have the 2 best bonuses and both would get raf leveling to 60 so ya crit and buffs better then 1 or the other

Thanks for the food for thought peeps!

I'm really thinking no other class adds as much versatility to our group as a shaman. Self rez is as good as soulstone. Totems are huge. Our paladin is a master engineer so we have repairbots for selling and repairing. Worst case we'd have to send 2 outside to use the summon stone to get someone who had to repair or bank back.

So unless a warlock would be easily slaved to do AE...We're probably gonna go with shaman. Totems would be easy to drop with macros, and spamming lightning bolt and chain lightning would be relatively easy as well. The only thing that really concerns me about the warlock is pet management as a slave. I see that potentially being a huge pain in the rear.

I think even a boomkin druid would add more versatility than a warlock. Am I mistaken?

Just trying to clarify my misgivings on warlock. The wife is leaning warlock just cuz we don't have any warlocks and she wants to play a warlock, I'm leaning druid We both see the merits of shaman tho which is why I think it'll be the eventual choice.

Thanks. As casual players we have been unsuccessful in finding guilds to join that raid on our time. This is adding an additional "fun" quotient to our gameplay.

Without any doubts bring a shaman.

Poison/disease is a must on certain encounters, a tremor totem will make your life alot easier.

ToW,Bloodlust is also to big bonuses to your dps.

I keep my hunter pet on defensive, then it attacks the same target as my hunter. There are times thought when my hunter gets attacked before he can attack and the pet goes solo on mobs and dies. This happen very rarley and is not a big issue to me atleast!

The more classes you have, the more complicated your macro's.
The harder it becomes to get maximum efficiency from your toons.

Also, the more flexibility you have, because you have more options.
And if you can get the macro's working, your team becomes that much stronger.

Going with a 5-box group between two players, that's not really a whole lot of roles to cover.
    A traditional one-player 5-box, might be Tank + Heals + 3x One-DPS class.
That's 3 roles for one player.
You could easily go.. Tank + Shaman. Healer + Mages.
Not really a whole lot of clicking to do.

I'd go with the shaman over another mage.
If it was 1 player boxing all 5, then 3x a DPS class is preferable.

We've been kicking this around for the last couple days and I think what we've decided is this...

Since we already have the non RAF mage accounts to 42nd, we'll finish leveling them to 60.

Then we'll use one of the mage accounts to do RAF. So we'll have Account A (mage) and Account B (new account).

On Account A we'll play a warlock teamed with a shaman on Account B and use the pally to boost em to 60 with the 300% xp bonus.

When we get to 60 we can toy around with swapping one of the mages for a pally/priest/mage/warlock/shaman combo. And if it kinda sucks we'll go with the pally/priest/mage/mage/shaman setup.

And then we'll take the 30 levels we can grant from Account B and apply em to the 24th druid we have on Account A and get a 54th druid to try too

Good grief, reading what I wrote is like some kinda algebraic formula. But that'll let us try out the shaman/mage/warlock, shaman/mage/mage, and shaman/mage/druid as dps classes to see what is easiest for us to play and/or most effective as a combo.

Man I'm looking forward to this! heh.
