Elegantly - as you put it - would be to hook up an actual power button the way ATX was intended to be used. But since the OP wants to disregard the way the system was designed.....

....and RTFM is Read The Fucking Manual - in the context of finding out where the pins are on your specific motherboard. But hey, if you want to fly off the handle, go right ahead.


Question for you. How do you power up the system with no power button to enter the bios and enable the "wake on lan" settings? Or the "wake on keyboard / mouse" options? (without using a screwdriver / paperclip / etc).

And then later when the wake-on-lan / wake on mouse/keyboard fails to actually wake up the PC, what do you do then? (because they will fail, sooner or later)
