New way to make a little extra gold?

I'd be cautious playing the buy low sell high game with glyphs. They're dirt cheap to make so if you are competing with someone paying attention they'll re-post 10 more glyphs minutes after to you try to re-sell at a higher price.

When I cornered markets it was on smaller ticket stuff. I hit Truesilver and Silver couple of times. back in the day they were fairly rare and were, proportionally, more expensive then they are today. I would never try and hold the market for more then a day or two tops. Something like Frozen Orbs is just crazy. The turn over on them is crazy and the prices can vary wildly. Just this pas week on my server they have been as low as 50g and as high as 125g. Epics always scare me, especially crafted ones.

I just discovered how insanely profitable inscription can be if played right. That, along with the discussion here, might just get me back into the game .

Inscription can be profitable if you start early and know when to stop. I am selling 3-5k gold worth of glyphs a day, that is all going right back into buying more books.

Back on topic, I tried a lot in BC (solo boxing days) to sell my services as a tank. Tanks were in great demand and I never once got anyone to pay me money for a heroic run. People don't want to pay for something they know they can get for free, convenience almost never factors into the true cost. There isn't a huge demand for normal mode instances, with heirloom items I didn't really care about drops from non-80 instances and when I hit 80 I just started going to heroics.

I was planning to farm Zul'Gurub for the mounts yesterday until I stumbled upon a lvl 64/65 Hunter that wanted to join. He was willing to pay, so thinking back at this topic I asked 100g per boss. Eventually we got the price down to 60g/boss and we did all 8! He was going to loot everything he wanted and I would get any mounts if they'd drop.
This meant 480g for 8 bosses and about 120g for the money drops (about 3g per character per boss), so 600g total! It took me about 90 minutes to do a run, but I feel I can do it in 60 minutes next time.
