    Default Upgrading to Vista 64

I'm about to clean out my hard drive and do a fresh install of Vista 64.

Question : What files should i save. etc. variables from account info like WTF folder etc?

    Thanks

Save the whole interface folder so that you don't lose any macros or add ons

    Pally,Shaman,Shaman,Shaman,Shaman

macro's are now saved on wow's servers.

But I would save the whole darn wow folder. That way your not having to patch. And wait so many hours..lots to patch =)
Of course any music, pictures, and things like that.

I copy the whole thing .. vista 64 stores wow in ../users/public/games/world of warcraft

But if you are limited on your storage device.

    Save:
    ../interface/addons
    ../WTF

    Enjoy the upgrade.

If you can, get a second drive or partition your current drive if it's large enough.

Use the non system partition for things like:

    WoW

    Documents

    MP3s

    Pr0n

Once you have a set up like that you can format your system drive as needed, install other OS's for dual boot, or recover from corruption on the system drive without ever worrying about what's stored on the data partition (unless that itself gets corrupted, at which point you're screwed anyway.)

I actually have a Primary drive with two partitions, one with Vista64 and the other with Win764. Both have full access to my data drive so I can play the same install of WoW from either, and access my mp3 collection, etc. When I get the release version of Win7 I can format that partition without worrying about backing up or migrating anything off that partition.
