Default Addon for seeing Hots on the actual player

    Hi,

does anybody know a good buff-addon which show hots (with duration) on the actual player in a good way (seperarted form all the other buffs like fort. and so on...) ? Any suggestions?

I'm asking, because I try to use my druid as a healer and therefor need something which can show me simply, whats Hots (and how long) are on my tank.

You can use Pitbull unit frames, it will let you easily see your HoTs on targets, or get HealBot and it should show your hots on players, not sure if it shows duration also.

I use Dot Timer. It's very helpful. It sorts the HOT by duration so for me the hot with the least amount of time remaining is at the bottom so I can see which needs to be refreshed. You may have to play with the setup a bit at first. I installed it and went into a BG without properly setting up the config and I got a whole mess of buffs and heals from both raid, party and enemies on screen. it was a mess. But after spending a couple minutes it's perfect now.

If you're using a druid healer and want to keep track of Hots, my friend who raid heals with his druid in our guild swears by Lifebloomer.

The problem i have is mainly, that nearly all addons show the duration of the hots on the druid who is healing, what would be ok for normal play, but what i realy need is that the duration is shown on my Pally who has recieved the hots. Currently I'm using Power Aura as a solution, but maybe there is something simpler...

Use pitbull or any other unit frames, move your buff bar somwhere very easy to see, make it larger if need be, you will be able to see the HoTs on yourself and the duration.

I was going to suggest Power Aura, before seeing your next post.

Pitbull would probably be a good solution, because on your paladins UI, you can filter your party frames to show druid buffs and their durations. BUT it is not any simpler that Power Aura...

Well with dot timer I see my party's buffs and hots. I never have to look at my healer. So if my druid puts a hot on one of my dps I can see it and it's duration.

Edit: I see this information on my main. Which is normally my pally or DK. Also like everyone is saying Pitbull is also good for this. You can change the size of the buffs and hots that you receive. to make them bigger or smaller (as needed) and even highlight buffs and hots that aren't your own.

Like on my toons. My pitbull is set to highlight my buffs with a green border. and make them smaller than any buffs or hots that aren't my own casting. So if anyone else casts a hot on me it is larger than my icons for my buffs.

I'll add my voice to the Pitbull chorus. It can be configured to show just about whatever you want, in whatever format you want, including not showing buffs that you don't care about.

Personally, I use SmartBuff's warnings to remind me about buffs like MotW, Thorns, etc. and leave pitbull to just show me the important stuff like debuffs and hots.

Elkano's BuffBars is addon you want! You can create new buff group and set filters to show only those spells you want.

Since I have all druid team, i setup 1 buff group showing only HoT's that are on me. Really helpful!
