Frostbolt replenishment question

ok so i run 3 mages, and was previously doing arc for raiding/heroics. now with frost i decided to forgo the arc mana problems i run into occasionally to help the group and my mages mana.

on elitistjerks.com they are talking about a bug in replenishment. what is this bug? if i spec all of my mages for replenishment--only 1 point instaed of 3-- does it overwrite itself therefore lowering the mana received? to simplify, is it better to have one specd for replenishment 33% of the time and let the 15 secs of replenishment tick off, or to have all 3 with 33% chance of replenishing overlap each other?> is it clear? it sounds great in my head :huh:

I would tend to think replenishments wont stack, but maybe they forgot to make it so you cant stack a level 1 with a level 2 and level 3, etc.


edit: reading the Frost Mage thread at ElitistJerks.com it appears that Mage replenishment is actually causing the raid to lose mana. Seems it has something to do with Endless Winter talent??

replenishment does not stack, so what i think is going on is like this:

mage 1 causes replenishment, 33% chance with 1 talent point
mage 2 fails the roll
mage 3 causes a refresh of replenishment

since my mages all cast at the same time, i would think replenishment would NEVER get a chance to restore .25% mana, maybe one tick but thats all. so im considering having A mage put A point into replenishment on the hopes that itll actually restore mana

thats how the bug looks in my head
