Default Druid and shaman team. having trouble with specs and a little game play issues

Hello all, I'm not exactly new around here, but I've been less active recently. I 5 box with a couple different teams. Pally/locks are easy mode for me, but Boomkin and shamans are giving me fits!

After I upgraded my machine to handle the 3.0 insanity that was crippling my laptop, I was able to go forth and be mocked many times in Outlands!

I had a decent spec before this last patch, however, gear was sub-standard due to many Outlands quests being skipped for sanity on not looting 150 zepplin pieces (it's an example, I know no gear drops from that quest). This lead to many in instance deaths, mostly my druid.

I know the days and glory of the panzerkin are dead, at least in Northrend heroics, I'm still holding on to the greatness of normal mode instances.

I have several problems, and hopefully with the comunity's help, I can overcome a few of them:

1.) Specs. Obviously this is one of the things I need to work on. I run 5 DPS. I tend to open with a cast sequence of Shaman dropping their 4 totems (fire totems are searingx3 and ToW) and druid starfire, insect swarm, fairie fire
    Druid: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0xGMhVIoIzIAzou
    Shaman (ToW): http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#hE0Vq0dItGfzVo
    Other 3 shamans: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#hEhMq0dItGf0io

I know they look a little ugly, but I'll explain some of my reasoning which leads to other issues I have.

2.) I tend to get tunnel vision and "OMG they're beating on my druid!" so I usually spam Wrath, which is tied to lightning bolt on the shamans. When more mobs get a little close for comfort, I have the druid cast typhon and the shamans chain lightning. Sometimes I even remember where my thunderstorm is, but it's not macro'd in a cast sequence, they all cast it.

3.) Heals: I haven't figured out a good system for healing. I have num0,1-3 and . all bound to healing macros. Num 0 is targeting my druid, then down my druid's party list 1,2,3,. with alt being lesser healing wave, and ctrl is chain heal (but targeting someone different on the list).

My typical instance fight goes like this:

Druid starts casting starfie, then insect swarm and fairie fire.
Shamans cast totems, all cast grounding and healing stream, but in different order, then a mix of earth totems (stoneskin, 2xstoneclaw, tremor) and 3 searing 1 ToW.

By the time the mobs reach the druid, all the totems are down and the druid has a little damage agro in the main target and prox agro on the adds with him.

I then spam "1" which is wrath and lightning bolt, switching targets when the current mob drops (usually 2-3 casts)

Depending on the pull and the quantity, I'll realize my druid is dying, so I'll hit either alt (lesser HW) or ctrl (chain heal). The good news is, it brings my druid up to full, the bad news, they all stop DPSing when the cast (duh).

Is there a way to overcome my limited tunnel vision? Is it a gear issue? Or do I need to bite the bullet, accept the loss in synergy and go feral tank, maybe with resto shaman?

Any help would be great, as I've searched through the forums many times, and not found a good answer, let alone one for 3.1 talents.

I think yeh might be running into a gear problem. If I remember correctly there wasnt much gear to be had for elemental shamans and balance druids yeh end up having to gear with lots of cloth.

For instance what yeh can do is drop a Earthbind Totem as close to the critters as possible and drop Stoneclaw Totem in between you and the critters then move to max distance of yer ranged spells.
Remmeber to hit em with frost shock to slow em down more.

At 64 yeh get Wrath of Air Totem which would help out yer group a ton.

Yeah it would be easier to switch the druid to a feral tank untill yeh get more ideal gear for yer casters.

With Dual Specs, you could go Druid as both your Feral Tank and your Moonkin DPS.
You could take one of the shammies to be both Elemental and Resto.

For dailies or quests you have 5x dps to blow through stuff fast.
When something is harder, you have a tank and a healer.

Sounds great on paper, but they're level 63 and don't even have the 100% 60 mount yet. Gold doesn't grow on trees. I know I'll make a lot more on WotLK quests, but still, 1k gold is a premium I'm not able to afford, let alone multiple toons dual spec'ing.

as you stated, you are lvl 63 and until you hit 80 nothinhg is really consequential. when you hit 80 you will have more than enough money to buy your flying, cold weather and dual spec on your toons if you like.
