Skill Nerf/Bug/Fix in Patch 1.1

A change has been made to the client and server skill point gain calculations for rookie pilots below the 1.6 million skill point threshold. Skill point increase per minute is now based on the total skill points you will have after completing the skill, instead of your total skill points. This effectively means that skill point gain will be calculated properly when crossing a bonus boundary. This means that adding a skill, which has 756,000 skill points when you are on the threshold (i.e. 1,590.000), will not benefit from the double skill training bonus and will be trained at normal speed.

Okay, I may be missing this, but from what it says about, I'm getting that starting any skill that will take you over 1.6 mil SP at completion will make the skill train at normal speed for the duration. So starting a 600,000 SP skill at 1,000,001 skill points means you will train those 600k points at 1x and not 2x for the first 599,999 SPs. I'll try to confirm this when I get home from work as I can't log in now despite it being past 16:45.

Oh patch day how I loathe thee.

Once again having trouble patching, must be somethign screwy with my install but it just won't patch properly - second patch that has failed now, hope I don't have to download the whole 2gig client.
