[EQ2] Khatovar, Frosty and others.... You really did it now! (plus some EQ2 tidbits)

You made me reactivate my EQ2 account.



I 6 - 8 boxed in EQ previously (L70 cap) but only tried EQ2 on one of those accounts. So I logged in last night to see if my L10 healer was still there after several years. So my L10 Warden is safe and sound on the Befallen server. I have the unhappy X appended due to server merges (I suppose) but otherwise everything seems to be intact. I guess I will play this character for a while to get used to the game mechanics and see if I can get to like it. Then I will utilize RAF and fire up more accounts.

I stopped my Wow subscriptions last night because I am really getting worn out playing it. I really liked the EQ playstyle (minus the grinding) and I think I will have lots of fun once I am up to speed.

Add me to the list of "victims" I re-activated my two dormant EQ2 accounts last week and added 4 more after reading all the good info here. Thanks to all of you who've patiently answered questions, provided advice, etc. I'll write more in another post, but I'm having a blast playing again. Glad to see others feeling the same way

Well, multi-boxing EQ2 appears to be the "cool" thing to do now, huh? I find it ironic that I decided to reactivate my accounts just days before this forum was inundated with EQ2-related posts. This only helped to reaffirm my decision to leave WoW even more so.

I wouldn't say it is the in thing but sometimes a person needs a change of scenery, to start over perhaps. EQ2 seems logical for me (and a bit nostalgic at the same time) since much of the lore is similar to eq.

I gathered up my Wow resources last night and I have 56k gold plus a crap ton of mats I am going to auction off.

On a different note. I only have 2 L10's in EQ2 so I am not losing anything by deleting them, is there a server of choice where folks are gathering? It would makes sense to merge some boxers together for guild hall benefits, correct?

I played EQ2 for over a year between vanilla WoW and BC. We'd been discussing what game to play for a few months, and the biggest drawback was trying to find what we can multibox. There's almost no info out there for the Turbine games I wanted to play and my husband and I already had a 70 tank and healer {and almost all tradeskills @70} in EQ2 so we figured we'd get more out of going back than starting over someplace else. I knew EQ2 could be boxxed and we have the option of upgrading to a Station Pass to play/box Vanguard and EQ when we're bored with EQ2, so it was kind of a no-brainer.

Replying to this post also. I have a DE Necro on Nektulos now (levels just fly by) named Slowdust. I have limited play time in the late afternoon till this weekend. Friend me and shout out if you see me or put up a guild recruit message on an active team member so I can contact you.
