Small "yay"...

Spent the weekend boosting toons in instances, had some hairy issues at first but now it's rolling, I'm running my priest, pally and shaman through Sunken Temple and BRD, alternating between my 80 mage and lock. Awesome exp., and I'm getting seriously good drops - I forgot what gearing toons in BRD was like (I skipped it on my first team). Blues galore, it's great!

But, the "yay": My first ever, in 4+ years (or however long it's been, been playing since release), world epic drop. I've rolled on epics in dungeons, earned PvP epics, and made them, but never, in all that time, have I gotten a world drop.

Okay, it's just a Warden Staff, but *finally*.

I've gotten some pretty rare items drop, though. I have a "first mates hat", from Tanaris, in the bank, it's said to be the rarest hat in the game. Won't sell, though. I've had the siamese cat, the rare parrot, and a few blues like that. Made some nice gold. Sold a crimson whelp not too long ago for 1500. Leveling is fun, now, because a lot of that junk sells for big bucks to the bored players with more gold than they know what to do with.

I have one serious money maker right now, it makes no sense, but it's good for 750 - 3000 gold, depending on the time of the week. Not saying anything, right now, I want to farm up one or two more, then I'll share.

Oh, if I could only get a Teebu's to drop. It's low level, but there are people who will transfer servers and pay up to 10K for one.

And, I do NOT get the 10K "Lovely Black Dress", that there are 20 of, on my server. Oh, wait, it's tied to an achievement, and there's that too much gold thing...

Anyway, Happy Easter, and if the patch drops Tuesday, see you next week, you know the servers are going to be slammed for at least that long - between bugs and everyone logging on to try out the new stuff (yay, queus!), I'm gonna take a small break.

I've had two world drops over the years. My first mage was about 59th level pre BC, grinding on the undead up in Garrison's Writhing up in WPL, when this epic ring dropped. I don't remember what it was. I was with a pally guildie and I remember him just flipping out over it. I mean he was absolutely gaw-gaw about this thing. Since it had tank stats on it I let him have it. He thanked me about that thing for a couple of months.

The other was a plate chest piece dropping off of the elites outside of ZG. It was that drop which made me think the mobs outside the instance were connected to the mobs inside the instance, and could drop this kind of stuff any time. I grinded on those damn trolls ever time I was bored, and I never ever got another good drop off of them.

I have no idea how many months went by before a buddy of mine told me that that chest piece was a very lucky thing to get. That was about 3 maybe 3 1/2 years ago. Never had a world drop since.

Ive been pretty lucky. Well most recently anyway. Ive been playing for about 3 years but up till about 6 months ago i had never gotten a world drop either. Well then they all started dropping. I got the Wardens Staff in azshara, Boots of Avoidances in ZF, and a Precisely Calibrated Boomstick from an unknown place.
