Don't try to pull that shit on me. I was giving Sam the benefit of the doubt months ago when he was still starting. I was more than willing to overlook Sam's misunderstandings of the game when he was new, but he didn't improve. He just kept posting the same shit over and over, and every time someone points that out, Sam hijacks the thread with his typical misdirection and irrelevent and/or innacurate arguments. Hell, if he wanted to spew his garbage in his own thread, fine, whatever, but watching threads get Samjacked left and right is really annoying.Originally Posted by 'Malekyth',index.php?page=Thread&postID=193274#pos t193274
Wilbur was right.
Exactly. Sam posts in thread. Thread derails in responses to Sam. Sounds like text book trolling to me. Personally, I more or less ignore him at this point. I only get annoyed when people start trying to defend him when they read one of the more blunt responses people give because they don't want to waste the time on a long, drawn out post on why everything Sam has said is stupid and moronic.Originally Posted by 'Zub',index.php?page=Thread&postID=193471#post1934 71
What I see most often is Sam posts in a thread trying to genuinely contribute - however Sam has proven to have a very inaccurate view on game mechanics and is good at posting disinformation and believing it is truth. He phrases it as if it were fact.Originally Posted by 'Bigfish',index.php?page=Thread&postID=193487#post 193487
Then the SamHaters(TM) leap at an opportunity to not only correct Sam but verbally assult Sam in such a fashion that the thread derails.
So my question is, who is the troll, the ignorant poster who tries to contribute, or the longstanding well informed members of the community that allow themselves to get so frothy over the idea of a man in a fuzzy loincloth posting bad information that they drag the conversation farther and farther off topic?
Back to the OT (Original Topic)... Prepared - are the alliance toons yours, and were you doing more than just afk farming badges?

I agree with Bigfish.
I was a big defender of Sam, until I figured out that Sam is deliberately obtuse, Is most likely an alter ego created specifically to wind people up.
Read threads that Sam has posted on before, his spelling and grammer are atrocious, at times coming across as barely literate.
Now go back and read some of his posts on this thread. Quite a difference (even including self deprecating humour in one post).
His posts follow a pattern. Post something, revealing a lack of knowledge in WoW .
In response to every helpful post explaining things, post a response that reveals that you aren't listening to what they are saying,
and if possible add in a bit of arrogance (although the arrogance has been on the backburner somewhat).
The same thing is posted in umpteen different ways and Sam manages not to get it. It annoys people.
Discussion is a two way street - and people get frustrated when they feel they aren't being listened to.
For example in this very thread I try to make the point that all mmorpg games aren't the same.
They are owned by different companies and have different terms of service. He finally seems to get the fact that EVE isn't WoW, then says
but what about EQ. (and to his credit he hooked me, I bit).
This sort of thing was also evident in the Mob tagging thread and those that preceded them.
I for one will never post a direct response to Sam from this point on.
There seems little point in ignoring him - as his posts are often quoted by others.
Now if i can only get rid of this niggling paranoia that Prepared and Sam deathwalker are one and the same and it's all just a big joke

Samjacked. I like that word. It fits!
Prepared - In all fairness, it's none of our business if you have both Alliance and Horde toons on your server. Yes, it's a PVP realm, and having toons on both factions is dirty....IF you are playing both at the same time during pvp. It's your prerogative whether you want to own up to it...
...but my fear is this accusation is kind of like being accused of being a rapist or a child molester; whether you're guilty or not, the accusation has been made and you'll always be thought of as the accused.
