Thread: Phasing Map?

  1. #1

    Default Phasing Map?

Does anyone have a Map (an addon would be great, but even a jpeg file will do) with all the Phasing lines (i.e. the lines that will break follow when crossed) of Northrend?

Probably with time I won't need it, but right now I still haven't memorized all the phasing zones and sometimes it takes a while before I notice follow is broken.

True, Fur. But knowing where these zones are so you can just avoid them makes it even less annoying. By trial and error, I've learned where a good portion of these zones are now, but can't say I know them all.

For example, when flying up to Ulduar from Dalaran, I just make sure to fly east a bit to avoid the area around the Argent Crusade camp in Icecrown. The phasing zones don't really kill much time, but its the annoyance of it that I really hate. I don't mind flying a little longer if I don't have to deal with the back-and-forth flying to re-acquire follow. Just personal preference.

To answer the OPs question: No, I haven't heard of one of these maps, though I'd create one myself if I knew where these areas were. If I had more spare time, I'd probably try to go map them all out.

It would be pretty difficult to write or read a map of phasing zones. I found that as I completed all the quests in Icecrown the 'final' phasing area was actually a non-phased portion of the map. So it's possible that with every quest in the game complete phasing would no longer happen or something along those lines.
