Yes i know there are so few of us who play eve, however it is a real pain in the butt trying to track down stuff reading threw page after page of EQ stuff

so status report after a couple of weeks of making alts...basicly the new player boost in training is really amazing lasting up till 1.6mill sp's it really does get you into the game faster, if you download evemon and follow it to the letter ofcourse, you can come out with some pretty amazing skills, well the rest of the new players are still struggling their way threw what skills to pick.

My main just learnt how to fly a Hulk mining barge last night, so I look forward to breaking that out tonight and eating all the roids I can find. My 4 alts, trained up industrial skills so they can start earning their keep by piloting badgers and later badger II's to haul all that precious veldspar back to a station and refine it and make my fortune selling minerals to other hungry shipbuilders.

basicly without using implants I can get my alts into Hulks in 72 days, so that's a bit of startup time, however doing all the tutorial missions has been fairly rewarding as they keep giving me all sorts of skillbooks and low level ships...I have a small fleet of bantoms currently, and some amarr ships that I cant even fly...however they look all interesting in my hanger. I think after the initial 72 days are over and I have the hulk it will take another 2 months to properly trainup all the specialty mining and refining skills if not longer, but after that I have an entire fleet of characters able to strip belts clean.

all in all eve's still pretty cool, the new graphics patch sure does make things a lot more sparkely in the game, not that I ever complained before, Im pretty happy running 5 copies of eve on my main system though, haven't noticed any need to take any of the settings off high. I have to ask myself why I didn't come back sooner, being able to just jump on and run a mission solo for 30 minutes is great, or some small fleet missions for an hour, I love how you don't have to put a huge investment of playtime in to keep your character advancing. I wish more games would take the real time approach to skill developement like Eve has, rather then the grinding game most mmo's play today.

well thats my 0.2 isk for the day....enjoying watching my new alts take shape and fill out their skills, tonight or tommorow I should see a small fleet of badgers flying in and out of my astroid belt well my Hulk stripmines everything in sight.
