You won't be able to do any WolK dungeons without a tank. I switched out a shammy for a DK and haven't looked back.
Siaea(h), Saiea(h), Seaie(h), Sieae(h), Seiae(h) - H(A) PvP
Parting, Sadeness, Praetorium, Greetings, Salutations - H PvP
Mullethead, Auderna, Jestitte, Zelynde, Serlena - H PvP
Clotte, Tahru, Martitsu, Mikiel, Larain - H PvE
Bonechewer - PvP - US
Thats not entirely accurate. with 5 shammies i was able to do a few of the easyer instances without tank. but it wasnt easy and it took alot of time. basically i was forced to use elementals to tank the bosses and burst them down. BTW I was also not geared at all. Just quest greens and blues.
Note this is for non heroic, there is no way to do heroics without tank.
They are buffing shaman pets in 3.1 and heriocs are alot easier than they were in BC, So in theory it should be easier than in BC
Pointless even considering it without a tank. Shit hits hard and has a lot of HPs![]()

Normal dungeons, no tank needed. I've cleared every normal dungeon with the exception of stratholme with 5 shammys with no problems -- including Occulus. One of these days, I'll go back to Stratholme as I'm sure I can do that one too. As far as heroics, I've only been able to clear Drak'tharon keep. I've farmed that probably at least 20+ times now: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...kar&n=Zappyzap
The mobs hit so hard in heroic that you can usually only take 2-3 hits before you are dead, so the the real key here is having a dedicated macro to heal each character. If you are using /cast [target=targettarget] some heal spell; you willl die. Without it, the boss would switch targets for an instant and when you press your heal key, it will hit the wrong person causing a wipe.
If you are simply farming heroic emblems, I would suggest learning Drak'tharon as that's pretty easy, followed by snake, rhino and eck boss in Gundrak for a quick 7 badges a day. The 1st boss in UT Pinnacle is very easy well. Just keep grounding totems up and go to town. I would imagine the 1st two bosses in UT Keep to not be much of a problem either. My first time in Occulus, I didn't realize I had it set to heroic til after I killed the first boss. I continued on and downed the 2nd boss, but kept wiping on the mage lord, so I went to normal mode to learn the fight. Now that I understand it, I believe heroic Occulus is doable as well as 5 shammys. The 2nd boss was the real challenge here as I had to spread my guys way out and cross my fingers that the earth elementals would taunt the boss off just long enough to get a quick heal off.
However, if you swap one of your shammys out and throw in a tank (I've used a druid, a paladin, and a DK with the DK being the easiest), you'll fly through the heroics with not nearly as much of a learning curve (and repair costs).
I used to be closed-minded and thought no heroics would be possible until some (multiblocks perhaps?) said he cleared Drak'Tharon as 5 eles. To my surprise, it worked quite well and I can clear it just as fast I did when I used my daughter to tank it on her druid.
I plan on retrying in 3.1 where our pets get buffed a little and along with the stoneclaw glyph to see if that makes the difference.
I should also mention for the trash, I use focus targets and hex everything I can before each pull.
farm up a DK tank, I prefer a pally tank myself but a DK starts at level 55 instead of 1. you might even like doing a 5x DK team anyway.
