How do you get used to pressing X-key keys without looking, or do you have to look down at it each time you do? Even better, how do you return your hand to the keyboard WSAD keys without looking? I don't think I could do that!

Or, rebind your keys to use ESDF, I don't know why people still use WASD, which isn't even where your fingers are supposed to be placed for typing. I feel sorry for people that still think WASD way.Originally Posted by Ripper

Lot of games stock at WASD, does that mean you should stick that way? Not really, with ESDF, you now have access to additional keys that you wouldn't with WASD. How often are you rebinding keys? Taking a few minutes to setup your keys will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.Originally Posted by Fursphere
- Your left index finger is usually on F, so that pretty much saves you split second or two from repositioning your fingers to type a message.

The only problem I have with this is my ickle ickle finger. It can reach the shift key but with some difficulty on ESDF. IMHO there is no perfect solultion with a standard keyboard. The only way to effectively do it is to use a completely programmable keyboard. :-(

Just be glad WoW is much more customizable vs Final Fantasy Online. It took me longer to adapt multiboxing scheme in Final Fantasy than WoW.
My l33t combo timing was perfect in FF. Wish WoW had something similiar!

Logitech G11 dualboxing trip report:
Once you figure out the best way to run the G key binds (so that they activate on the alt client and don't activate anything on the main client in any kind of way) this is the best thing ever. Shaman healbotting main warrior, disc priest supporting main shadowpriest, etc. It's cheap compared to other tools that help multiboxing, so get it. ASAP. Make sure you get the G11/G15 that has 18 G keys, not any dumbed down more modern revision.
Agreed. I've been using ESDF (WR for turning which I rarely use because of mouse movement) since I started playing counterstrike in college. It opens up, Q,A,Z,X,C,V which can then be used when while moving. It also feels much more natural, every time I lose my bindings (redo UI every month or two) I can't do anything until I switch to ESDF.Originally Posted by caldvn
My bindings are:
1,2,3,4,5,T,Q,A,Z,X,C,V
then Shift and alt variations.
I then use F1-F5 and ctrl variations (for some reason I can't get used to ctrl-1 to ctrl-5).
I was originally thinking of getting XKeys Pro but I'm too used to my current setup. I see if the need comes while mutli-boxing.
