LOW FPS

Im 3-boxing with a optional wow open with my main lvl 80 on that box. But my question is im running the 3 with 50 fps for the main, 20 for the other two boxes. The 4th box i dont open with keyclone i open in manually. Why does it only get 20 fps. Even when I close keyclone out I still am only getting 20 fps on a single wow program. Whats going on here?

are you opening them all from the same folder or separate ones?

if its from the same folder and you open the keyclones first it may be just using the last wow you opened with keyclones fps cap settings. id setup at least 1 extra wow folder and use it for your main only to avoid any confusions.

edit: also your sig is showing only 2gb ram and with 4 wows open you may be maxing that out.

do you get better performance if you use different wow folders for each wow session?

yes well it wont necessarily increase performance but i think if hes using only one folder his saved variables from the 2 slaves might be loading in on his main when he opens it later. if he had 2 folders that wouldnt be an issue. when you load wow instances with keyclone it changes your saved variable settings to whatever you set it to in keyclone ie 50 maxfps on main with 20 maxfps on slaves. so it would be a kinda false increase in performance because its just got a hard cap.

if you load up and type these

/console maxfps 0
/console maxfpsbk 0

it will remove any limits and then see if the fps increases. if it does and you only use 1 wow folder then we've found the culprit.

edit: also i just noticed if i play in windowed mode in vista 64bit im capped to 30 fps but in regular game mode it shoots up to about 70 fps in dalaran. dont know if that matters.

You really need 4gb+ ram, 2gb will just not cut it.

though the ram is too low for 4 boxing ^this^ i believe may be the key to figuring out the issue. and why i think its the single folder problem and not a hardware upgrade issue per say. but im often wrong

This happens because you've possibly set your maxfps to 20?
