Thanks for the food for thought peeps!

I'm really thinking no other class adds as much versatility to our group as a shaman. Self rez is as good as soulstone. Totems are huge. Our paladin is a master engineer so we have repairbots for selling and repairing. Worst case we'd have to send 2 outside to use the summon stone to get someone who had to repair or bank back.

So unless a warlock would be easily slaved to do AE...We're probably gonna go with shaman. Totems would be easy to drop with macros, and spamming lightning bolt and chain lightning would be relatively easy as well. The only thing that really concerns me about the warlock is pet management as a slave. I see that potentially being a huge pain in the rear.

I think even a boomkin druid would add more versatility than a warlock. Am I mistaken?

Just trying to clarify my misgivings on warlock. The wife is leaning warlock just cuz we don't have any warlocks and she wants to play a warlock, I'm leaning druid We both see the merits of shaman tho which is why I think it'll be the eventual choice.

Thanks. As casual players we have been unsuccessful in finding guilds to join that raid on our time. This is adding an additional "fun" quotient to our gameplay.
