I got this in our general chat about someone explaining how to spot a botter:

1: If they have "AFK" tag up while moving..they are botters
2: If you send them a tell and they don't respond, they are botters
3: If 4 or 5 charcters are following behind one, they are botters
4: If they are casting all at the same time, then obviously they are using a third party program.

"If SoE would only listen to what I just said, we could catch botters 99% of the time and get rid of 95% of them easily"

But obvisously SoE doesn't have this guys incredible bot spotting abilities.

    I replied:

1: Some boxers put AFK up to indicate they don't talk via that character. It's to help other players send tells to the right character.
2: Maybe they just don't like you and don't feel any obligation to prove anything to you.
    3: /autofollow is not illegal
4: You can use a vetra multicaster which is kinda like a KVM, but instead of choosing between multiple computers to recive an input, all computers get the input (he replied I was speaking greek to him here...see, he didn't understand so obviously it's a hacker program...cause he has no idea how else it can be done)

I think the problem people have is that they can't grasp that there is one person playing multiple characters simultaniously. A lack of knowledge and understanding will more often than not sway them toward the possiblity of cheating.
I myself can hold my hands up and say that my first ever encounter with a boxer in AV, 5 locks, I thought the guy was cheating. A little research into what I was seeing and here I am now .

I almost always point them in the direction of this website. Unless of course they are complete morons. I've even got a few people to try it out themselves, through coming across me and wanting to know how I was doing what they were seeing! It not all bad!

I use a wireless keyboard and 5 computers. Most people should be able to wrap their head around that.

I personally just ignore people who start in with me, the person saying whatever is more likely some zit-faced 14 year old.

Just let it roll off your back, besides after a while the server will have your back. If someone says something about me, more often than not someone else will defend me without me even having to say a word.

I honestly think it's how you represent yourself. On my server, I have more people defending me then hating on me. Actually I can't remember the last people who actually said something nasty to me. As soon as i come on, people ask for a WG invite. I do them everyday, and always seem to win, regardless if it is Off or Def games. People seem to lission and respec someone who can produce results I guess.

Regardless of the previous fact, the more you can educate people on how and why you do things, the more they will understand, and think it's cool what your doing and not some kinda of hack. Doing a star chain heal for them never hurts ither

    This

I actualy think that boxing has become more accepted in the last half year. For the last month i had only one hate whisper. I think is due to more and more boxing vids on warcraft movies, and tube that make people see what we actualy do and that we are not some program. Especialy movies like ellay's opened up many eyes

I've had some interesting experiences this weekend because it's AV weekend.

Just finished an AV game, when I zoned in people began cheering and one guy said, "OMG the Shaman Pain Train has arrived"

Game starts and of course the horde go after Balinda. We get there too late and the horde are finishing up. I wait outside with my shaman and totem up the entrance.

Three other players are behind me. Orc warrior with shield comes out by himself (he must have been the tank).

Stops dead in his tracks when he sees my guys... starts turning around to run back in, but is hit in the back with 4 Chain Lightnings. He went down like a sack of potatoes.
I pop EM just in time for the remainder of their force to come out. About 4-5 guys and they run right into my group as I press Thunderstorm.

All four T-Storms connect and 3 die outright (low health from fighting Balinda) and the other two die from 4 flame shocks and 4 LBs.

This all happened in the space of ten seconds of so and after the dust settled, the three alliance behind me were laughing at the horde. I get whispers saying that was the best thing they've ever seen in AV. Another guy asks what programs I'm using. Of course, I point them all to this website.

So not too shabby this weekend.
