I can't seem to get Vent working, says it is missing a codec. Am I using the wrong version? It seems to change what it asks for also. Someone must use Vent help?

RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor
MultiBoxers play with themselves
Probably not the best place to ask that question, but make sure you are running the latest version of Ventrillo, and make sure you're running it as Administrator (rt click, 'Run as Administrator')

I know most people can run Vista-64 and Ventrilo, but I cannot.
Looking on the forums on the Ventrilo site, about 100,000 people cannot get this combo to work.
The ventrilo people were (at the point where I just decided to run Vent on my old XP system) stumped.
That was more then a year ago, but running it on my XP system which is 1 foot to the left works for me.
(Assuming that you're using the right version of ventrilo)
Some of the codecs that ventrilo supports are patented by other companies. For this reason, ventrilo doesn't ship with all the codecs it supports. Which codecs you need, depends on the codecs that have been enabled on the server. Most servers use the codecs that are shipped with the client's operating system (standard GSM codecs, for instance), but some use non-standard codecs (usually for reduce bandwidth usage). Have you tried installing the codecs that it asks for?
Running it on Vista64 Ultimate here with the basic, standard install. What codec is the server/channel running?
