Character Names?

So I'm gonna be hitting 80 on my 3 shammys (main is 80 already) either late tonight or tommorow.



I'm trying to decide if I should keep their current names, or do something weird like IIIlllIllIll

The only time I've ever fought a mulitboxer in 5s (Aellie incidentilly, back when he was in Reckoning BG) I remember the confusion amongst the members of my team "okay so we're gonna kill 'lie' then" and still one of the dps mistargeted.

At the same time, its also fun naming your guys interested things like elements or planets.

So anyway...thoughts?

i did something like that in a pvp server with my hunters, named them variations on lilililil - looked like barcode

I think that may work in arenas. I know after playing a team more than once they will target Zoobox, in which case I'll usually switch to another. But even if Zoobox is in the back it'd be nice if he didn't get instagibbed.

I'd hate to have to type any of my toons names if they were something like lilialielaieia, though.

Heh, one of my dudes got one shot by you in WG today at lunch ^_^.

I had 5, but I left one behind behind. I only have 3 monitors at the moment and couldn't find an aesthetic way to level four guys at once with that set up lol. I might end up powerleveling the last eventually.

Anyway, I look forward to some epic WG battles against you once I'm fully geared ^_^

Weird names can be countered with assist and focus.. It could work on totaly retarded teams tought.

Team would still have to be prepared for that and would not work if you rushed (which may be viable in 3.1 with thunderstorm + 4 aoe roots).

I'm really debating it though, I like having real names but I know it's going to make a difference somewhat.

You'll get retarded teams up until the 1800s... which is plenty of rating to get yourself geared out

just to get the allies a little confused and hard to focus the right target... it yet works quiet fine but i just did some open pvp... lets see how arena works when i'm 80

totally bs names that makes nonsense are not allowed through blizzards terms

one toon of mine was called "llcpsrbstrds" but @ ~ lvl 75 i had to rename her

I find the way i name mine works well enough, it confuses people in towns etc so on the battlefield it should do the same :>
