When I'm leveling, I like to homogenize classes as much as possible (makes macro-creation and alteration easier).

I'm also a spaz and like to change my mind all the time, so the "level 1 group at a time" doesn't work for me and I naturally fall into the "level what interests you today, level what interests you next tomorrow, farm rest XP" because I get bored of one class and swap to another frequently enough that I am never using up all of my rest XP. It'll take you a LOOOOONG time to hit 80 on everyone, but just do whatever seems the most fun to you (after all, the game is about fun).

I say questing 5 alts would be better. Shift to different teams every 3-5 levels. By then you already know what quests to take and to avoid.

This is not emphasized enough around here.

I play only with rested bar. Not a problem actually, since I play quite casually : if a group is at 70 with full "blue" bar, it will keep it 'till 80.

For the rest, to avoid getting bored, I alternate play styles, switching groups depending on my mood :
    - Few days doing mostly quests and gathering mats on my 4 x Hunters + 1 x Druid group (actually at 80 now)
    - Few days on my Paladin + Shamans groups running instances
    - Few days on my 5 x Arcane Mage group mashing my Arcane Explosion button and laughing at how many mobs I can take down at once with 5 squishy gnomes
    - Few days on my real holy trinity group (Pala+Priest+Mage) figuring out the next level of macro complication
    - An afternoon levelling crafting skills
    ...

Levels go up, slowly (casually) but surely (efficiently I hope).

I like the idea of playing the rested xp in priority of how much I enjoy a team. I'll probably play my favorite team's rest up then move to a 2nd and play it. If the second runs out and the first still doesn't have enough rest, I'll move to the third and so on.

The single dragon elites in the beginning area of the nexus is also a good idea. I remember they are immune to most special abilities like most bosses are but I don't remember how hard they hit. Do you think a 5x DPS group could down them before being killed themselves? If so could they do it at level 68? If theres a tank in the group could it be done at 68? I think there are 4 of them around the perimeter and 1 in the center near the final boss. All 5 of them could be killed for 20k xp and then reset.

I think that's illegal in the bible belt states.
