Default Interested in trying EVE Online? Look here!

EVE Online has so for those interested in trying out EVE online some of the current boxers here can help out.

EVE Online has a buddy program offer that lets you have a 21 day trial instead of the ordinary 14 day trial, and if you open an acount from that trial the person who referred you gets 30 days free (like RAF without the XP bonus or cute Zhevra).

So if you'd like to buddy up with someone I suggets getting in touch with one of the current EVE multiboxers in this thread: EVE Multiboxers

Here's some advice for those starting out with EVE

Firstly, make sure to complete all the tutorial mission arcs, they'll earn you some decent cash, a number of ships, a bunch of stuff, and teach you how to play the game.

Secondly, grab the following essential tools

Maps to plan out where to go http://www.ombeve.co.uk/

EVEMon to plan out your characters http://evemon.battleclinic.com/

EFT to plan out your ships http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp…threadID=548883

Lastly EVE is quite multiboxing friendly. Becasue of the way skill training works you can get 'free' training by switching between accounts. You do this by starting a long bit of skill training just before your account time expires, some skills can take 15-30 days to learn so it can be cost effective to learn them while your not paying.

Definitely good tid bits for Eve, I did play it for a bit and it is multiboxable, just takes a little more effort than WoW.

This is not necessarily a bad thing since the extra cognitive involvement is part of the draw to multibox in the first place...also with EVE having a lot of different modes of play, some of them will be hit hard by this (PVP) and some not at all (resource collection). Not that I've done enough EVE to make a well-informed judgment...but that's how it seems to me listening around here.

Next time I get bored of WoW...this is probably what I'll try. Unless Aion turns out to be cool or something. What I'll try of the stuff out there now.

Heh, thought I'd look at it a bit, saw Homeworld-esque ship controls, got interested.

I was SOOO excited at Empire at War/Sins of a Solar Empire being ''space'' RTS's...but the controls were not homeworld-esque (REAL 3D movement, although Sins of a Solar Empire was a step up from EaW (Having a 3D camera instead of just space units on a 2D grid))

Already got a 21 day trial off steam.
