You're a *SNIP* if you get RAF on 4 guys and plvl you can get a lvl every 10-20min at that level if not faster. Get 1 char to lvl 80 and then say you're 1/2 way decent at wow. No one cares about pre-80 the game doesn't even start till 80.

Tag Boosting result - can you beat it?

Well that is a resounding yes. Don't get hung up on one game mechanic (tag boosting) just because someone used it successfully in the past and they got in trouble for it. The math just isn't going to work on tag boosting. What they were doing was one player earning all the xp from instance elites so it was a multiplier. The way your attempting to do it, is a division of xp. Tagging for a group of 5. And on top of that your doing it on normal mobs not elites. So using a method that has impressed you when done with a single person with your group is fundamentally flawed.

What you need to do is use the RAF mechanics as well as the normal game mechanics to your advantage. First lets look at various powerleveling methods. Instance boosting, Quest boosting. Both methods use a higher level toon to trivialize the content and minimize the ammount of time it takes. You dont have one of thoes, so you have a few choices. Level a toon so you can boost. The quickest would prolly be to get a guy to 55 or whatever, install Lich King, and build a DK. Out of the gate you will have a very OP 58 in full blue gear ready to rip up all the old school content and help boost your other accounts to 60. When I moved to a new server, this is what I did. Also what are you going to do with your level grants, you have to use them before your RAF is up and if im not mistaken you cant 'save' them and transfer your guys to a new account when RAF expires.

w/o a boosting toon, your looking at leveling each group by themselves. I cant see any reason to have the other 25 shamen follow you arround other than if your run into a PKer, but at your level they still wont be able to touch an 80. I would recomend speed questing. There are several guides you can follow that will maximize your time investment. This site has 1-60 RAF leveling guides for multiboxers. There is no reason to re-invent the wheel here. You could 5man some instances if you want, but w/o the booster it just wont be worth it compared to questing.

Like some other members already showed, I did a large chunck in Scarlet Monastary aswell. If you cant do that because you dont got a booster, then maybe (I dont know and to tired to calculate) you did the quests just fine.

Go level a booster and boost your groups to 60. Then play all the groups to 80.

don't let the naysayers get you down Sam, I understand your strat perfectly. You want to only hit level 70 once the next expansion is out, so that you have all of Northrend to yourself, and can win Wintergrasp every time since you will be the only person in there.

Then when the next Blizzard MMO is out you should be level 80, and will have the entire server to yourself as everyone else is playing the next MMO. Truly then you will be THE CHAMPION OF WOW.

Its a great strat and pacing yourself so you only do a level a week is a great way to maximize that strat. Also thanks for helping our economy and I hope you keep buying new accounts and RAFing them, since I bought ATVI stock it hasn't moved up enough really and I'm hoping you can single-handedly boost subscriber numbers by a few hundred.

Im not doing it because of the "first guy to 80", you are right he got all the exp and his 4 partners got zero. Thats not what I am doing at all mine is like this:

The rulz are that no mob can be grey to the booster or the boostee's. And all members of the boostee group should be within 10 or less levels of each other. The more boosters you have the better as mobs just die faster, up to a point. Now I did not follow that perfectly cause the murlocks are like level 41 and my mages are like level 32 so they don't reliably land their spells on the higher level mobs so I need the Pal in their group to effectively tag, and he steals exp, but as the mobs are not grey to him its not to bad.

BUT as you say that 2.75 extra for elite mobs is huge, and in an instance you don't lose a ton if the mobs are grey to the booster, for some reason.

Ill be trying three different methods:

Killing level 50 mobs in Ugo whatever crater (found a spot with tons of mobs), the mages are getting like 180 a kill even with the Pal in the group.

Finding some level 36ish mobs that can be tagged with the mages constantly and killing them with the shaman after the tag.

Trying an instance with my 50 Pal.

Ill see how it goes. You need one character at level 60 to make a DK right?
