Actually, Slash is wrong. Your boosting account can be linked it just needs to be linked in the proper order Booster -> BoosteeA -> BoosteeB ->BoosteeC ->BoosteeD. So it's a daisy chain link instead of all of them linking to the main. The way the OP has it setup is the wrong way for a linked account to boost.

    nonono

If you are using a booster, then the account that the booster is on cannot be linked. In your example, if your high level booster is on account "Booster", then BoosteeA would not get RAF bonus. However, B/C/D will get RAF bonus since they are not linked to Booster.

Well in my experience as of today - Saturday March 28 2009 - daisy chaining accounts works perfectly for boosting. So the RAF Link goes like this for me Booster(Lvl 74) -> BoosteeA -> BoosteeB. And tonight, on live it works with all the boostees getting RAF experience.

Are you sure of that? BoosteeA should not get raf from what I have read.

Are you sure that BoosteeA was invited by Booster74?

Maybe you get a benifit in that BoosteeA and BoosteeB are linked and that overrides the 74 link to BoosteeA.... interesting if true.

The op set up will do better for granting raf levels though .... although ya daisy is the way to go overall.

Tried it last night with an account not linked to the master or slaves.

Works fine. As long as the master toon is in the group with the booster, they all get the RAF experience. Gained 4 levels doing ZF a few times. The only problem is that with a 5-team you have to rotate them in and out to try and keep them within the 4-level limit. Going to slowly summon them all over the Scholo and try there tonight.

To be clear on this: the booster account is not linked in ANY way to the master or slaves, except that it's in my name of course Looks like I'll be buying 4 x BC tomorrow.

    A (80) -Link- B (10)

Grouped together, B will not get any of the RAF experience.
It doesn't matter how many accounts B is linked to, if they're grouped and linked with A.

    A (80) -Not Linked- B (10) -Linked- C (10) - Linked D (10).
With A not linked to B, C or D, each of the lower toons gets the RAF exp's even with A in their group.
Linking B to C, C to D, D to E etc, will let you cascade granted levels to grant levels themselves.

Although Blizz has said they will change it "soon" so that everyone has to be within 5 levels in the party for anyone to get RAF.
"Soon" for Blizzard has ranged anywhere from next patch to never.

I'm not sure why people don't believe me, it works as of right now. It may be different for a five man group (I don't see why it would) but w/ 3 accounts daisy chained the boostees in the link do get RAF XP. If there was anyway a screenshot could prove it for you guys, I would post them. But people would say that I've doctored the screenshots in some way.

Ok, if you guys don't believe me go test it our yourselves - make level 1 toons (2 of them that are linked) and the booster linked in a daisy chain like structure Booster -> BoosteeA -> BoosteeB. Now bring a booster to the starting area and go wand stuff or whatever... It works, try it.

He's right. Being linked to the booster doesn't stop you from getting a RAF bonus, it just doesn't give one. You can still get a seperate bonus if linked to someone else also.

I think the confusion is when BoosteeA and Booster are on the same account. At least that was what happened to me.

Switched out one of my DKs to an alt account that is not linked and POW - 120k an hour in Scholo
