I had Time Warner scheduled to install interwebz in my new apartment yesterday (and the complex is brand new) and they came out. After about an hour, he decided that there's a broken cable line inside the walls somewhere. Now I have to wait for the contractors to repair that before I get service ;(

Oh, and this is after I moved my computers, installed them (including zip-tying EVERYTHING) and shut off the cable at the old place. This sudden withdrawal I think is gonna kill me. . .

Eww, yeah had a similar thing happen when we moved into this new apartment. They'd just renovated it after a fire took out a couple of the units. Everything inside the place was/is brand new. We moved in and I set up my computers only to find 0 cable outlets. Worse, there wasn't any insulation either, it was the tail end of summer and definitely noticable during the day. Thankfully, the apartment manager got the insulation resolved promptly, getting the new cable installed unfortunately took a couple of weeks. By the end I was fiending for a fix.
