Default Rich Thorium - How do you guys farm that.

My Tip is: if you are creating another group and you have 60 toon(dk or another(grant to level), rush thru east DM, you can run with 60 toon and the others healing in 15 to 20 min, and if you just wanna train mining or farm thorium with your 80 that can go down to 7 to 10 min. At the end of the instance you will have 2-3 rich thorium nodes and a bunch herbs thru the instance.

PS: Sorry about the grammar english not my first language :P

rich thorium I tend to farm in Eastern Plaguelands. However, especially right before I stopped playing, it seems to be very crowded and I had trouble getting much done. I havent tried winterspring, but Im sure it's just as crowded. I bet if you go to Sithilus you can farm there forever and never run into another person. Use wowhead and have it show you where the rich thorium mines are located, I love that feature.

P.S. At times Rich Thorium stacks (ore) were going for 100g a stack on my server, so it was a nice way of making cash.

There's a mine in the blasted lands that has lots of thorium spawns.

I used to use that mine a lot. It is horde only though and there is no rich thorium in there, only small thorium veins. That shouldn't be a big deal though since people want the thorium these days and not so much the arcane crystals.

For me it seems like EPL has by far the most nodes. As soon as I could mine RT I was able to max out artisan mining very quickly in EPL.

My thorium rotation was always in Winterspring, but as mentioned above, I don't know how crowded it may be these days. If you do go there, be sure that your rounds also include going into the elite dragonkin cave in the hills SW of Everlook, and the yeti cave directly east of Everlook. I also usually find one mine in the gorge with the elite giants in the far south (the ramp down is to the west, on the north side of the bridge).

If you're particularly looking for just rich thorium veins, then I would recommend wowhead as well to find them. My rotation was just for any thorium veins I could find.

In Classic WoW Un'goro was always my spot. 5 spawns on the volcano and all the rest are only in the SW quarter of the zone. It's easy to make a loop and run by all the spawn points. Winterspring/EPL/Silithus had too many nodes that spawned too far away from each other for my liking.

Nowadays I think I'd agree with Fur: farm ZG. At 80 you can run by every single trash pack and pick up all the nodes. There's probably a half-dozen rich veins in there. I believe if you reset instances, a raid will still do a soft reset and reset trash/nodes, right?

EPL had 8 spawns that I ran in a circuit in Vanilla WoW. And by spawn, I mean general areas. The exact point would jump around, but the places to look never changed. Was always nice with a hunter too. Just ride through everything and Feign Death at a node.

I did all my thorium mining in Winterspring. There is also mithril there as well in the areas by the timbermaws. On my server mithril is selling for 60-100g a stack so it was nice to swing by those nodes for cash. The frozen lake has 4-5 nodes around it then I hit the dragon maw cave by running over the top of it to see if any nodes were spawned in there. Then hit owlkin nesting area and then go around the canyon as there are nodes along its edge, If one was spawned in the canyon I catch it after going into the elite deamon area as there are a TON of them in there. Then swing back up and hit the Yeti cave, the furblog vilage and up to the top of the zone and that cat rock thing.

I usealy ran this circut in the mornings before work. it would take a good hour to circle the zone to hit it all but I usealy ended up with about a stack of mithril. half to a full a stack of rare (gold, truesilver) and 4 stacks of thorium and lots of rocks.

I did run into other people farming but no one ever went to the deamon area so that was always there to farm.

At level 80 not much will aggro you.
