Swapped back my capes - Eck Dead, amazing the difference 26 hit makes - DPS back up to around 1600 - one of the shammies even had 1900 at one point
Thanks for all your help

Granted WoWWiki isn't always correct but it says mobs two levels higher, i.e. Heroic Bosses, only require 6% hit. As a Shaman you should already be getting 3% from talents and another 1% from your racial if you are Draenei.

For 5 man heroic bosses (level 82), you have a base spell hit rate of 94% so you need to make up 6%.

If you're a Draeni with Elemental Precision, that gives you +4% hit, you only need +2% hit from gear or 53 hit rating, to be capped.

I'm embarrassed to say I can't beat this freakin' guy. I am geared well enough that I should but I can't keep or get him off my guys when he shed aggro.

Taunt is always a bit tricky. when he does his little bounce you don't want to instantly taunt, since Eck is apparently dozing or some other dumb thing. Instead wait a second or two for him to actually start attacking, taunt him off, throw a few abilities with your tank (dont DPS yet), then start DPSing again. As a pally you should always have consecrate down, as a DK you should have unholy blight and/or D&D down as much as possible as well.

You should really have omen as a multiboxer on all your characters, and have it prominently shown on your tank. You'll see after Eck pounces all threat is reset to 0, so you need to build up a small margin with your tank again before going all out. There are a number of heroic bosses where threat management is important, and letting DPS pull aggro means a wipe.

It's been a while since I downed this guy but puppychow is correct, his aggro is a little funky. If I remember correctly, he will target someone in your party, drop target and then reacquire the target. It is during that second target that you want to "taunt" him back to the tank. If you taunt during the first targeting, it doesn't always work.

My life became a whole lot easier once I set up a Righteous Defense macro and bound it, before that I was clicking it lol.

After several wipes on this guy I found it was best to make sure all my guys were stacked on top of each other. I just spam holy nova from my priest and go to town.

I just go mental on his ass and taunt him back after hes done the spit and not before. Chain heal up after it hes back on your tank. I dont think i even healed my tank directly last time i killed him. Chain healing self on shaman and health totems was enough. I might have also used seal of light, but probably not, my macro is set to cast Seal of Wisdom before every fight...

Also as a pally you can use Hand of Reckoning as well as a 2nd taunt with Righteous defense.
