Default Prot pally + 4 resto druids

Just cleared ramparts with lvl 62 prot pally green geared as ret and 4x62 resto druid trees. 1 shot it with no deaths the whole run, complete easy mode.

Trash - 450 DPS, No problems at all. I just keep my druids on follow. Anytime a caster does the firestorm AoE thing I just 4x wild growth and everyone stays at max HP.

Watchkeeper Gargolmar - 350 DPS, He doesn't hit hard at all. I couldn't down the healers before they heal themselves but they run out of mana pretty fast then they drop 1 at a time. Healers took almost no damage the whole fight so it was a simple tank + rejuvenation.

Omor the Unscarred - 290 DPS, Had the trees point at an angle so when they moved foward they would be spread out in a line. They were all in range of rejuv but only within range of closest for wild growth. Spread out far enough that the boss's treacherous aura didn't hit anyone else. Probably could've healed throught it easy enough though. Just tanked the boss down and threw up HoTs n who needed them. Downed after 5 mins.

Vazruden - only 220 DPS! I could literally stand in the fire and just stay full with wild growth. I moved after a few stacks of the fire if it was easy. Downed in 5 minutes from pulling adds. This is the easiest this guy has ever been for me.

The full clear took me around an hour but it was just so easy. I'm going to try this set-up in more instances and will report back if it works as well there. I may also try them still in full resto spec but out of tree form to add some more dps.

Just cleared blood furnace with no probs. I'm starting to think all the content that doesn't have enrage timers is doable with this comp. I basically have a whole raids heals and they dont even have to be facing me to heal.

I'm very much interested by your progress. In your setup, you keep all the druids in trees and only the pala is dpsing ?
is it just to experiment ? is it really better than pala + 3 boomkin + 1 tree ? are you planning to try this setup too ?

Yeah, it's just experimental at the moment. I speced all the druids resto while boosting them to make the boosting go faster. I took them into steamvault at level 61 and was able to heal through the last boss with a double enrage. Lvl 72 +200% attack speed and +150% damage, he goes into turbo mode if you dont kill the little fish tank things. Granted my warrior tank is lvl 80 this just got me thinking.

Well obviously it's better at healing and worse at dps. If you can down a boss in 1 minute with the higher dps group you might as well. If not this might be a viable strat to off spec.

I'm going to try out leaving them resto but out of tree form to see what kind of dps they can contribute while still maintaining a high mana pool and full heals. I will also later try 3 trees + 1 boomkin. One boomkin would more than double the killing speed and 3 trees would still provide massive healing power. I love the ability to heal through anything any boss can throw at you.

Im running a paladin and 4 druids. I leave them all in caster form. They are mostly balance spec and not much resto. I should respec them in balance just to get the treants and the rest in restoration for more mana regen. Starfall just isnt worth it and I dont have time to try and optimize earth/moon/eclipse procs. But so far 4x regens not resto spec have been more than enough to keep me alive through trash and 8x HOTS havnt let me down on anything bigger.

At level 72 they are putting out about 520dps. With 580ish spell power. (seems low to me) Im still think im missing something big on how to pew pew pew with them and get their dps up. But all ive been able to find is /castrandom Starfire,Wrath Or /castsequence Moonfire, StarfireX (for how long moonfire lasts with extra talents and glyph). A /cast wrath macro has better dps, but it chews through mana too fast.

But it is fun to sit there at times with 3-4 mobs on the paladin and slow play it by just having the druids refresh the regen every 15 seconds.

Can you keep up regrowth and rejuv indefinately in your spec without running out of mana if you needed to? A 40/0/31 spec is probably the way to go. I would probably take swiftmend over treants. With swiftmend glyph the HoT isnt removed and it would be a 100% HP button every 15 seconds. Also I noticed without the glyph if all the druids swiftmend at the same time it only consumes 1 of the HoTs, must be a lag thing.

It's going to be hard for me to drop wild growth though. It's such a good spell to just live through AoEs and not worry about which toon has aggro.

Yea, I can keep rejuv up and never run out of mana as long as Blessing of Wisdom is up. If I double stack the HOT's it I can only go about 4 min and im OOM.

4 healers isnt the problem though, Its getting the DPS out of them that im having a bit of trouble with. I can slow fight just about anything (just healing) but that takes forever. Im still spoiled by my Mage groups aoe damage and the videos of shamen and their chain lightning I guess. This morning I tried to slow fight the first boss in UK by only useing HOT's and DOT's instead of slinging wrath and starfires. End result was the fight took about a minute longer than normal and I was still OOM by the last 10k hp.

I just got totally owned in slave pens. Theres nagas that fear bomb every few seconds. Some are in groups of 2. Soon as I figured out how to deal with them I get to the soothsayers who kept MCing a druid and using tranquility to heal themselves. Seems mobs' fears don't have diminishing returns either cause I would keep getting feared over and over and it would last like 10 secs each time. That zone is so frustrating and annoying. I really, really hate nagas. <--not rascist lol
