the excitement of meeting another multiboxer

I was quite excited a few days ago in SW: I saw 5 mages gnomes. Send them a tell. Not easy to see who was the main. Spent 20 mn waiting for them to move. I checked the guild on armory : 5 mages, one pala, 4 shaman, some other lowbies.
For sure, the pala was a main. Put him on my friends list. One day later, hes connected :

- hey man, are you a multiboxer ?
- yes,
- thats great, me too. Thats exciting,
- ... silence ...
- do you know dual-boxing.com ?
- yes,
- whats your name on the forums ?
- I forgot,
- hey, maybe, one day, we could team together either for 5 team or do a raid. That would be great,
- Im doing good with my team. Dont need any help.

Meeting other boxers is cool. I usually give them a high five, salute, then move on.

yea - not everyone who's drawn to the ability "solo" dugeons etc. is generally sociable in game Depending on when you catch me I might be very talkative, or I might be in solo-mode and not want to chat with anyone.

It's just like meeting any other random player, except that they happen to also enjoy the same niche hobby - but I've run across plenty of solo toons that were quite standoffish as well.

Well in comparison, if someone with the same car as you walked up to you and said "Oh hey, we got the same car, that's just amazing!".
I would wonder what the hell was going on.

yea that happened to me before. i would chat with people and they would go off and not reply. or just /wave /applause /cheer and be on their way. im guessing they're busy. which is fine. i dont press the commonality to the point of being annoying. not saying that Orshok was. lol

That is rather funny, but I for one am always happy to meet another multiboxer, in fact, I met one yesterday with my newly created alliance toons on Destromath. He was boxing 4 druids. I'm always down to try and dual-dualbox some content with another boxer. :P If anyone plays here /whisper "Mehasbackup" and I'll be down to group up

hehe, I went insane when I met a tri-boxer on Lightbringer. He still hadn't found his Mute button in KC so his alts were jerking around and hopping while he typed. It was cute. I can see how a multiboxer might not want to chat though. We all have our reasons for doing this, and "anti-social" is probably on the list.

I always try to be helpful and engaging with other boxers. As a result there are a few others on my server that I have nice chats with from time to time. It's cool.
