Thread: 5 feral druids?

  1. #1

    Default 5 feral druids?

Im currently looking at my Druid group which was initialy going for Boomkin, thinking Feral now. Normal form i have no issues as my casting macros work fine, its the feral combat thats a bit iffy. Im using

    /follow focus
    /assist [target=focus, exists]
    /startattack

fine most of the time but sometimes two or three bears or cats take an unintended break. Any tips for melee so that all toons hit the target would be welcome, im guessing most melee class have the same issues.

    Thanks 8)

I'm not sure if this is one macro or two macros or three macros or what. If it is just one I could see mixing /follow with /startattack causing problems.
Other than that, I'd just say maybe they are taking the unintentional (and hazardous and annoying) "break" because they didn't have time to see who the focustarget was before you told them to assist. You may have noticed problems even before they were feral; sometimes it takes as long as .5 seconds for the focustarget to register on your alts because of slow network latency.
Just as a test I'd turn on "see target's target" on all of the alt windows and watch to see if the problem persists when you actually wait for the focustarget to register on all windows.

It is 1 macro, and as you suggested I checked target's target and all are focused correctly without much delay. The problem seems to be with their respective position to the target which is no issue when casting, even less so with my locks as it doesnt matter if the target is in front. Looking into the follow with /startattack now as Its my first real attempt at the melee side of boxing so i will also look at other ways to initialise the attack.

    cheers

Any melee hits will break /follow so that needs to be taken into consideration, I have /assist and /follow in all my melee macros. My ferals are level 61 right now and this is the 1 button macro that I use ( I use cat form 90% of the time):
    /assist focus
    /follow focus
/castrandom mangle - cat, shred, rake, tiger's fury
    Alliance_______________Jogo Comigo________________Horde
    Wildhammer___________________________________Ticho ndrius
    Dwarf paladins - 70____________________________Undead rogues - 70
    Gnome warlox - 70______________________________Undead DKs - 65
    Dranei shamans - 62___________________________Blood Elf warlox - 30
    Gnome mages - 66_____________________________Tauren druids - 61
    Night Elf druids - 60
70 huntards on other 5 accounts, dunno if i wanna spnd the $ to bringem over >.<

Ok thats cool i didnt realise that (feeling noobish). Thank you for the macro info im going to put that into action now, guessing i can also configure for bearform as well which solves both.

    Happier druids now

I respec'd my druids to feral from boomkin, had fun for the most part until i had to kill elite mobs for quests. Needless to say I respec'd back to boomkin. I can't wait for dual spec. I'll probably have one for boomkin and one for feral. feral for pvp fun.
