DPS on Krystallus in Heroic HoS

Well unfortunately this isn't my best DPS on a boss fight, but I forgot to actually screenshot that - anyway...



Edit: Just went to DTK and got slightly better (except 1 shaman - bad string of non-crits I guess)



This is with a DK Tank and 4 elemental shamans

I know a guy who said be owned because he could get nearly 3k on his elemental shaman inch:

Then a boxer comes around with a easymode rotation and he owns this guy with way less gear

What mod are you using to track the DPS?

I find Krystallus a trivial boss. Maiden of Grief on the other hand pwns me in no time.

I can't reach 3k DPS and you're doing almost 5k with one of your shamans - I am doing something awefully wrong. :>

I'm uploading my HoS video now - should be available in the movies subforum and the PvE subforum sticky soon - I take down Maiden in something like 21 seconds, before she really has time to do any special moves except one void zone.

Heh, just went to DTK because it was the daily (getting my DK an entire DPS set so I don't have to tank all the time when my 4 slave accounts end), got a screenshot with better DPS (except one shaman was off...not sure why, unlucky string of non-crits I guess).

That's insane, you're still using manually the FS -> LB -> Lightning Bolt sequence?
By the way, it has to be the haste/procc/crit series thingy why one of your shamans is completely off - I think I can remember writing, somebody - maybe fursphere?, that even though his/her 4 or 5 shamans were completely wearing the same stuff there were - sometimes - differences in the DPS reaching from 1000-2000 dps just like in your case ...

Yes its all because of crit percentages. Even with a high %, theres a possibility to miss a bunch of crits in a row. My shamans have like 65-70% crit buffed during this combat (with elemental mastery and trinkets etc). Usually I don't get one that is so far below the rest though (thats why I said it was bad luck).

I'll have to remember to keep screenshotting, maybe onetime I'll get one with all 4 shamans > 5000

And yes, for these screenshots im using the:

FS, LvB, LB, LB, LB, LB, LB, LB, LvB, LB until dead method (so many LBs because bloodlust is up, LvB is still on cooldown most of the fight). I use bloodlust and trinket before I even pull the boss so I don't have to stop DPSing to do that. Also use boneshield pre-combat and then hit icebound fortitude immediately after pulling so I don't have to heal at all.

Hehe, I usually hit the Divine Something button on my paladin, too - so I won't need any heal through most of the fight and get a real fast fight but hell I should start using your method of spellcasting.
