Default what setup to choose... im in a fuss :)

Ok so i started out dualboxing yesterday... and well its LOTS of fun! :D

but now i want to make a serious team, but i cant decide on wich to choose.

First of my choice would be:
    (btw im tri-boxing)

    Pala/lock/lock -
but then again i already have a lvl 70 lock (heck then i could tri-box all 3
    in later bg's)

Priest/mage/mage - i tried this setup , like how it works, but it seems too
fuzzy and complicated (maybe thats just the lvl 10-20´s)

    3x Shammies -
This sounds like a VERY FUN setup, never played shammy either so please
anyone dualboxing a pure shammy setup come with some thoughts

and one final idea - 3 x warrior
now i know this is a very odd one, and prolly wont work well at all, but i
was thinking is there a way to synchronize position? so that i could "wasd"
all characters as one? that would effectivly make it 3-in-1 and über cool.

but need some feedback on that before going for the warrior setup.

what are u using? what do you like. choosing class is hard enough,
choosing 3 is 3x as hard.

If PVE is your goal, I think its a good idea to make a Pally on your main account. You can mix and match other classes on your other accounts to try things out, but keep the pally moving forward. If/when you move to 5 accounts, you'll have a tank ready to go for the harder instances and even heroics. There seems to be a general consensus on this site that a Pally makes the best multiboxing tank.
What they are saying: "Why are those guys following you? Why do they wear the same stuff? Did you pay for all of those accounts? Boxing is so unfair. Ebay? Lozer. Get a life. WTF? Retard. Gay." What they are thinking: "Damn, wish I could do that. That's so cool. This guy rocks! Lucky bastard. Maybe I can get mom to buy me more accounts."

well, ill be focused on having a good team for PvP as that is my main focus.

however it should be so that it was also a easy grind from 1-70.

im really wanting to tribox warriors now that i think about it or 1pal 2 wars

but it would require some movement issues to be resolved /follow works fine
for casters, but for multi boxing several melees it would require full control
over all 3. so a way to synchronise all three would be very cool indeed.

im thinking that i could make the 3 charecters (warriors example) start the
same area, that way they would be completely synchronized. however if one
dies im in deep shit. haha, and that will, i guess occur more than once.

    thnx

Melee's don't work for this very reason. Syncronising Movement is impossible, even with hardware to do effectively.

The best you could hope for is to have a Main melee and two ranged DPS.

Pally / Mage / Mage works absurdly well. The ae tank ability of a paladin combined with the ae damage a pair of mages can do... zowie...

Roll Shamans. Their fun to play. To think how fun it would be to have 3 or even 4.

In making your final choice, don't forget to look at our weaknesses as well as our strengths as multiboxers.

One of our biggest weaknesses is movement, and that's why you won't see many melee characters in multibox teams.

I have no doubt at all that you could make a trio of melee fighters work to some degree for PvE (I don't see much fun to be had to be honest, but that's entriely subjective), but for PvP it's a complete, total, non-starter in my view.

Think about what you, as a single player, have to do in PvP. The most obvious thing is that you need to be facing your opponent. The chances are that he's not going to stand still while you hack his arms off, so you spend alot of time mobile, either running around or at least turning on the spot to face.

And, of course, you use the mouse to do that because it's the only thing that makes sense. Keyboard turning / moving is too slow for you to be competitive in PvP.

You're just not going to be able to do that with multiple characters, and when you consider that melee fighting breaks follow, it becomes all the more painful to achieve anything. You just won't have the luxury of time to position your team.

If I were you, and especially if this is your first box team, I'd go with Warlocks, Mages Hunters, Priests or flavour of the month Shamens. Or any combination thereof.

If you're alliance, give serious consideration to *at least* one shammy for the tremor totem.

But don't let our warnings of doom'n'gloom put you off at least TRYING the warriors, if that's what really floats your boat. There's nothing better than convincing yourself, and you'll only need 10 or 20 levels to know if it's going to work for you

Going against what I think most on this forum believe to be a bad combo I'm going to level 4x hunters. I think it will be insanely fun (and powerfull).

Only reason Im doing four and not five is because I cant afford to get another computer or upgrade, at the moment, and I have plenty of 70s I could add into the group once they get close to their level.

It's been said before, play how you want and you'll enjoy yourself.

Its not a bad idea, its just a somewhat more limited group. Decent for PvP, you can turn anywhere in a 40 yard radius into a total kill-zone.
