Default Dungeon Tagging for max xp

I read this on another forum. People are saying they can do 1-80 by having an 80 boost RAF toons to 60 in dungeons then going to outland and northrend and doing dungeon tagging. They claim that the booster can be the party leader and once a group of mobs is tagged everyone drops party AOEs the Mobs down then gets back into party and the Party leader gets all the xp like they soloed the mobs.

I thought tagging was nerfed but these are recent posts. Anyone confirm or deny this?

This is bannable. Its an exploit against the auto hearth out after leaving party. The first person to hit 79 did this and was banned for it before he even got 80.

I think this one is iffy. Some GM's say its fine. The only one I've heard of banned for it was the first to 79 but he was later just reset to 70. I feel he only got into trouble because he was on the stage trying to get first in world to 80. If you just do it on your own with out going around telling ppl about how fast you lvled you should be fine. But if you don't want to risk it just dont do it.

Just want to share this great video about that guy that got to 79. Its a great story: every wow player should see this.

    www.youtube.com link.

He talks to a GM while he's doing it. Lucky for him he was recording the whole thing. Amazing.

    Bug Exploitation

We have a top notch Quality Assurance team who tirelessly stamp out bugs and design inconsistencies within World of Warcraft. However, a handful of trained professionals can never isolate and resolve each and every bug in such a deep and complex game accessed simultaneously by thousands of players. You may come across the occasional bug during your adventures. Some bugs are minor and do not affect gameplay, but sometimes these bugs can be used to provide an unfair advantage to certain players or affect the service itself. Factors included in determining the appropriate penalty:

Whether or not the exploit is performed intentionally, maliciously, and/or repeatedly
Whether or not the exploit damages another character, their gameplay, the service itself and/or its economy
Whether or not an attempt has been made to conceal the exploit's use
If a player is found to have abused/distributed an exploit, he/she may:
Be given a verbal warning if exploitation is unintentional and no attempt has been made to hide its occurrence
Be temporarily suspended from the game
In extreme cases the account will be closed outright
Bug exploitation that we consider extreme includes, but is not limited to:
Any exploit that has a severe negative impact on a realm's economy
Causing disruption in service or intentionally crashing a realm/server
While these repercussions may seem harsh, we feel very strongly that this type of abuse has no place within Azeroth due to its negative effect on other players or the service itself.

Instance tagging would most likely be called a bug exploitation because you after a party member leaves a group he/she is auto hearthed out after 1 minute. The party members that should be teleported out within the 1 minute will help the lead kill the mob for MAX exp/gold/loot. However rejoining will stop the auto hearth, thus being able to repeat said exploit.

Yeah from what I read if you do this in a non instance area like say if you want to the ruins in hinterlands and did those mobs it is ok. To do it inside an instance is what got that guy banned.

I just found a few places OUTSIDE instances to grind and although it might take longer it still works.

Correct, he wasn't suspended for tag boosting he was suspended for exploiting a game mechanic(in this case the 60 second auto hearth timer).
