I am so happy they did this. I was going to post a suggestion for linking accounts so we can quickly mail between our multiboxed accounts and not suffer the 1 hour penalty. This may also mean we can mail account bound items between our boxed accounts also. This is a dream of mine for sure. A more basic thing I'd like to see is the ability to change accounts from the character select screen instead of having to logout all the way. Even just that would be sweet! Using the Battle.Net account to login to the WoW forums will let you easily flip between accounts to choose a character to post from. It's very nice. I'm a fan!
Hold your horses. I did not read about those suggestions you mentioned above in the battle.net faq.
In perspective of the single game account game nothing will (probably) change.
Just the authentication will change.

Account bound things will (probably)not be affected by this

Think about it in the line of an XBox live id. Just another ID, where you can brag on forums with how many accounts you have and so on ....

I think even that it adds additional complexity to the login process.

you have to authenticate the battle net, then select the account, and then the character.

What do I get as a player from that ? I already have my accounts registered with one authenticator token (brilliant invention btw)
