    Default Need a mouse?

    Buy logitech.

I have an MX518, which is a great mouse on its own; however, my recent experiences with Logitech have convinced me to buy their products for a while to come.

A couple of weeks ago, the right mouse button stopped working reliably. After trying a few things to convince myself it was, in fact, the mouse, I emailed logitech and reported the problem. I got an email back in a couple of hours - it was a standard "form" type of email asking me to try a few things, both of which I had already tried. I replied and said this, and a couple of days later I got an email back (from a person, not generic_support_blahblahblah@logitech.com) saying that he thought it was defective and was submitting a replacement claim for me. About 1 week later, I got an email telling me that a replacement mouse was on the way.

In case you missed it, they didn't even ask for the old one back. They didn't give me a bunch of grief. They asked me to try a few sensible tests just to make sure I had some clue, then, they just replaced it. That was it. I did have to provide a screenshot of my receipt from newegg, but that a reasonable request in my mind.

It's nothing big, it's a $40 mouse, but the way they handled it was all-pro to me. I like that a company has their stuff together enough to realize that not hassling me over a mouse fosters good will and is more than worth the small amount it costs them in parts/labor. I also like a company that stands behind what they produce and doesn't treat me like a criminal if their product fails. As I said on the survey I filled out, I try very hard to support companies that have good (sensible) policies regarding customer support, and will therefore be buying logitech mice for the foreseeable future.

Just thought I'd share, I'm sure there are others like me in this regard.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I have an MX 518 I've used for over 2 years and the only thing wrong with it is the logitech badge is worn off :P Before that, it's pretty much been logitech except for maybe the very first few mice I bought before I started gaming.

 Logitech. I haven't had a reason to call tech support, but looks like they're good all around.

I've heard something similar when it came to text coming off of keys.

Both my keyboard/mouse are logitech, by the way. =D
