Default Tank + Heal two-box, need advice!

    Hey guys,

I'm still very new to dual-boxing. I've leveled a few pairs via Keyclone + RAF, but my current "mains" are a warrior and paladin, both at 77. I leveled them fury/ret and intend on going prot/holy, respectively, at 80. I want to tank and heal heroics and eventually 10/25 man raids.

I've thought a bit about how I'll bind abilities; so far I've come up with this:

    (Paladin)
1-5: Targets members of the party (is there any lag w/ this? I know that /assist macros have slight lag to them).
    Shift-1: Holy Light
    Shift-2: Flash
    Shift-3: Cleanse
    ~: Divine Illumination
E: LoH (binding to E so its fast - smack in the middle of targetting buttons)
    Shift-E: Hand of Protection
    R: Shock
    Shift-R: Divine Favor
    Q: Sacred Shield
    Shift-Q: Plea

    Warrior:

For the warrior, I'll be giving up the mouse, using WASD and the Numpad for all the binds. Most prot abilities, as far as I understand, can be clump-macro'd, so I'm not too worried about this. If worse comes to worse, I'll end up looking at F, G, V, C, F1-4, etc.

Any suggestions from experienced people who have tanked and healed simultaneously?

If you can manage it with your physical setup, I'd suggest using a click-casting mod like Healbot for your healer. It makes things a bit easier to keep straight when you are using the mouse clicking to heal and the keyboard to tank. Other than that, setting everything up is going to be personal preference and it really just takes practice. If you have experience playing solo with each toon in their respective roles, that also helps the transition go a little smoother.

I see. How would I get this mod to work for the Paladin if I'm controlling the warrior, since Keyclone mimics keystrokes and not mouse clicks?

Personally you would have to have some mouseover assist because changing targets on your tank and then doing /assist is to slow.

YES there is a delay on assist both offensive and friendly.(unless you targeted the target for a while) In most panic cases you will end up healing the wrong person.

I run paladin 3 shamans and a hunter.

    My healing setup.

Shift+R = All shamans chain heal and my hunter use mend pet.
Shift+d = Lesser healing wave from all shamans on my tank. Very nice in sitatuions were healing falls behinde and need to catch up.

Numpad 2-5 = Chain heal from my resto shaman on seperate chars. Nice when im taking medium aoe damage.
Insert, home, pageup, delete = Lesser healing waves from all shamans to seperate chars <--- This one makes the frost tomb achivment on kelleseth cake.
Numpad insert = Healing wave on tank
Numpad del = Riptide on tank
Numpad 1 = Earth shield on tank, hunter use misdirection on tank, tank casts sacred shield on himself

This gives my healing zero delays since i dont have to use assist for healing!

Yeah, I wasn't going to use assist, I was talking about a straight /target macro. But then I realized I've been using target macros to hit my warr with Art of War procs, so I answered my own dumb question
