    Default new to multi boxing

so im think if mutli boxxing 5 toons all the same class if my comp and handle it tomz im going to set up a couple trial accounts and see how many it can handle

    anyways i was wondering

would i be better off mutil boxing 5 the same classes or 5 different class
how well would 5 the same class handle in PvP such as battlegrounds and areans (5v5 of course)
and how well would they do in PvE

if already go the programs keyclone and and Maximizer

    thanks

to start out, go one class. I would try ranged/caster DPS class. One class though. Then try a tank class with 4 dps. All melee is the hardest to manage. This is all Pve, PvP is harder as you have less time to react and mistakes are deadly.

It depends what your goals are. If you want to PvE and do instances then eventually you'll need a tank, in which case your easiest setup is 1 tank, 4 ranged.

Jamba is the most indispensable multi-boxing add-on that I have. It has functions for following, targetting, quest sharing & accepting, auto buying & selling, etc.
Also, Macaroon (an icon bar add-on) allows you to create very large macros, which is something you'll likely find very useful.

Not if he has an XP box...

The OPs spec should run 5 boxes, just not as well as a quad core box with 4GB+ of RAM

I'd definitely try 5 the same at first - doesn't matter about melee or caster they both have their quirks

Only if he's running a 64-bit OS, XP and Vista 32-bit can only address up to 4gig of memory, including the memory on the graphics card, so he's at the limit already for those OS's.
His system is a bit better than the one I run and it handles 5 boxing alright (saving up for upgrades atm) if not spectacularly, it only chugs when things get hectic, fiddle about with the graphics settings until you gt things running smoothly and, at least for levelling, that system should be fine.

Your rig should be able to handle multiboxing "okey" atleast in the old context. But for pvp I think you will have a problem with lag etc.

You could go for 5xdruids. Then you have alot of different possibilities.... I box 5 druids and love it.

    For mods/programs get:

    "Mandatory"
    Jamba
    Keyclone

    "optionel"
    Pittbull (UI)
    Macaroon (macro addon)
    Questhelper

There is alot of different oppinions as to what mods/programs you need, but I started with Jamba, keyclone and questhelper and added on more mods as I went along.

Keyclone is purely optional. HotKeyNet is very good as well.
