    Default Suggestion We need One

First we need HOW-TO Forum. Yes we have a beginners section.. But there is so much stuff all over the place.

We need to fill that HOW-TO section with DETAILED Information on getting things set up.

The biggest thing we need and I hope you guys agree with me.. Is a STEP BY STEP instruction for Keyclone Maximizer. I see so many threads about how to get it to work but nothing detailed. This would be a big help to people.

I think as my self as really good at understanding computers and programs and 98% of the time I can eventually figure it out. Not the case with Keyclone's maximizer.

    Lets take this
    c:\wow1\maximizer.exe --margin 525,0,0,0
    REM upper left
    c:\wow2\maximizer.exe --margin 1,525,0,1120
    REM upper middle
    c:\wow3\maximizer.exe --margin 1,525,560,560
    REM upper right
    c:\wow4\maximizer.exe --margin 1,525,1120,0

Something like this is what I see in alot of those posts. And the way I like to learn things is understanding where you come to get the margin 1,525,1120,0. Things like that. So something that can give people a visual on how to get it up and working would be great.

And this is not just for that, its for alot of things. If I really knew how to work Keyclone I would write a tutorial, I love writing them but again I don't fully understand it.

    What you guys think?

wow maximizer <> keyclone, they have the same option, but thats a different thing. The margins you give out can be set by command line (feature that you can build into a program) or use the ini file (which normally is with the maximizer). The numbers are coordinates, you give coordinates where your wow should arise. Now i dont really remember which coordinate is which, but heck, there are only 4, you can figure that one out yourself .

But for a, now a days, standard 17 inch tft, which views your screen in the 1280*1024 reso, the 525 takes a big portion out of it (too big, badly chosen, or some alternative resolution based screen) so you can devide your wows anyway you'd like.

IMO, the problem with a how-to forum is most of the current forums already are specialized how-to forums. There are many ways to multi-box and it's easier to find information based on the type of multi-boxing you are doing.

    Beginner's
    Hardware
    Software
    Macros

Combining all 4 of these forums into one would mean a pretty big lump of information for anyone to sift through, and we all know how many people actually use a "Search" function on a forum.

The beginner's forum pretty much handles all the first time questions (The "WTF OMG wut I do nub" forum) that are fairly common for the community. This information can also be found in various places on the other forums (HW/SW/Macros).

More advanced/typical questions for hardware go into hardware (Testing, Shiny parts, even chairs :P) as someone passes through the beginner's stage and needs more advanced help. Expect to see more computer hardware buffs in this forum (Not necessarily those who use pure hardware setups to multi-box, but tech geeks who can help you with the actual guts of a computer too)

Same for software and then macros.

Once the wiki is up and running and we've fleshed it out with pretty much everything useful It'll hopefully cut down on a lot of the noobie posts :-)
