    Default Warrior + 4 shamans

    Hey guys and girls,

I just noticed the open transfers to magtheridon EU and I love the part that a lot of boxers are comming over there. Sadly my shaman team is currently split over 2 pvp servers so no free transfers for me.
I`m currently not boxing due the lack of time but I`m planning to start again in 2 weeks. My orginal plan was to get 2 new accounts and RAF my way up with 4 shamans boosted by my 80 DK.

The open transfers got me thinking tho. I`m really looking forward to maybe raid with some other boxers for example. So I`m willing to waste 100euro for 5 transfers to get it.

Sadly DK is horde. I do, however, have a 70 warrior tank (well BC geared), 3 shamans are a small amount of xp away from 74 and the 4th shaman is a geared resto shaman at 80.
Boosting this team in instances would be easy enough with a geared resto shaman I assume.

My problem is the warrior. Everybody knows that warriors ain`t the best box tanks. But it`s still my highest tank. Besides that I have a 61 druid and next in line would be a new DK.

So I would like to hear from someone who has some experience with warrior tanking in a box team. I`m not looking forward to leveling a DK or even worse, a paladin.

    Here are my chars:
    Warrior: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...&n=Jessi%C3%AB
    Resto shaman: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...ne&n=Liyexiano
    Shaman 3: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...ll&n=Liyexiana
    Shaman 4: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...ll&n=Liyexianu
    Shaman 5: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...ll&n=Liyexiani

Hopefully there is anyone around who can tell me about positive experience with warrior tanking in a boxing team. I loved to play my warrior and I don`t want to level up a new tank.

    Thanks in advance,

    David

    Eh...

Leveling a DK from the starting area to 70 hardly takes any time at all and will give you way way way more benefits than a warrior tank and will be easier to control as well.

    Just my advice.

I'm boxxing warrior+shammies with no issues really... yeah that got a lot more tools you have to work into the equation, but they never were known to be a 1 trick pony.

I don't disagree with that - its not "bad" to have a warrior tank. But honestly if you're going to have 4 casters in your group that all do caster damage you might as well have a tank that gives all 4 of them +13% damage since they can't provide that for themselves and its probably the single biggest damage buff you can get in the game for a party with 4 casters.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that A: it's doable, and B: it's not the huge disadvantage that people appear to give it credit for.

i shelved my team six weeks ago ago cuz i was bored and just played on my mage (pally tank/mage/3 shammys), about 2 weeks ago decided to finally level up my DK and been leveling him (with help of 2 shamans) for the past 2 weeks. Just hit 80 yesterday after about 3-4 hours a day (8-10 on weekends), with 2 shamans in tow leveling was a BREEZE and super fun and easy - I quested almost all of it, and had full rest XP the entire time (would take a break every few days to raid on my mage).

My DK already has gotten 60 badges in the past 24 hours and raided naxx10/os10/both voas and is almost in full epics already (hes a BS so I did craft a ton of stuff and dropped about 10k in trade buying epics too). So I'd definitely say a 2-4 week time investment is worth it, especially since DKs are crazy fun and imo very, very good multiboxer tanks. even in 3.1, much better than warr/druid (and slightly better than pally). i've already got bronze drake on him too
