    Default New to Dual boxing

    hey guys whats up.

hey i am new to this dual boxing, always wondered about it since i got to see 5 shaman boxer and thought that was really cool. im not going to pay for 5 accounts, but i did take over a friends account after he quit wow and thought about trying out dual boxing with two shamans.

anyways i got the key link set up working good with that octopus key linking program which works really well for linking key strokes on one instance to the 2nd instance and even opens up two windows side by side each other on one monitor, a bit of video lag between the two time from time, and even a bit of key lag.

i would like to run the two one being on one pc and the other on my laptop, but thats not my problem at the moment.

even with octopus linking the two instances to each other, i was able to set up some macros so that my two toons will attack in sink with one another, the attacking and even healing i got down to a stable level with fine toning needed to become a good dual player.

im on here to ask people how do you get your two or more toons to work move in sink with each other, oh yea i can get my toon to move forward but like a car with a bad alignment the alt toon will start running off into the great beyound and that crappy follow macro is annoying to have to keep pressing every 30 seconds, plus the fact that my alt loses follow so easily.

i wanna know how to get my alt to stay with my main all the time, without having to baby him so much by stopping with my main and clicking over to my alts screen to move his sorry butt back to my mains location.

ive searched the web all over and can't find answers to this problem till i found this board and thought i should ask some of you pros out there, can anyway tell me how to get my alt to stay with my main at all times without having to switch over and fuss with /follow macro. ive also had the problem with my alt not facing the correct direction while in a fight, such as being slightly turned at the start of the fight and then loses sight when the target attacks my main.

this whole moving thing is such a big problem and if i can't figure this out, i dont think ill be able to dual box without going crazy.

any help or comments on this problem would be great?

[Suggestion] Stop playing your friend's old account, both will be banned. Get your own second account.

Forums and Wiki on this site are full of info, start reading.

    Hope this helps.

    First off, welcome to multi-boxing!
but i did take over a friends account after he quit wow and thought about trying out dual boxing with two shamans.
Bad! BAD! Never play someone else's account. Account sharing is against the ToU and you will get your accounts banned.

To do this all you have to do is unbind the movement keys on your alts while they are following your main toon.
