How easy is Moorabi, High Prophet of Mam'toth, on Heroic?

So easy, I three manned him with pre-heroic gear

Prot Pally, BM Hunter and Resto Shaman

If you don't get unlucky with badly timed quakes (i.e. you can't get everyone topped off), this guy is a Emblem vending machine. Ok, it is just 1 a day but my partner who dual boxes to fill out our 5 man team isn't always on so I needed a challenge.

If you're just starting out in heroics, this guy is where you want to start.

But also keep in mind on top of that that the snake boss is quite easy (as easy as moorabi) if you position your characters properly, and the elemental boss is quite easy if you're running 4 shamans because of healing stream totems and nature resist totem.

Word of warning - While this boss is cake, the following bosses can be a real pain for boxers.

Rhino, Snake and Elemental come to mind.

I wouldn't necessarily call Moorabi cake, unless you just severely outgear him. I've gotten to where I can kill the elemental and snake easier than Moorabi. I can kill him pretty regularly, but if I'm going to wipe it's usually on him. I would think a heroic geared 3 man would be a tough one on him.

Isn't your team SEVERELY overgeard for this encounter though?

Of course they are, now, but yes even the first time I fought this boss (who was the first heroic boss I ever attempted) I beat him fairly easily. I did use magmas at the time but this was also when magmas sucked (pre 3.0.8 or whatever). Anyway, yes this boss is easy but it really all depends on positioning your shamans correctly.

Sladrah and Moorabi are both cake for me. 3X mage, priest heals, druid tank. Granted I'm doing over 5k DPS with barely half heroic epics / half crafted PvP blues on my arcane mages.

The elemental boss is hell for me though. Priest can heal the AoE just fine but my tank has trouble getting aggro on form changes because I'm too lazy to use separate buttons for my tank / dps / heal macros on that team.

Easy way to do that is just mouse click your macros instead of mashing buttons. That way your tank can get aggro while everyone else just chills. Moorabi is the first boss I downed with my 4 Dk, 1 druid team when they were severely undergeared. As long as you survive quake and can get your tank back up in health its easy. Now that snake boss is hell on melee only dps groups. The elemental boss that gave my shaman group a run for its money was pretty easy on my DKs. Of course the last boss is ridiculously hard with a melee only team.... ;(

Wow, interesting that you could get that far. His snakes usually "wrap" my tank and then its only a matter of time before he loses aggro and then starts gibbing my healer and dps. ;(

theres a simple trick to snake boss, i used to do it all the time. go kill the elemental boss first (go via snake boss but dont kill snake boss). make sure all the trash is cleared between the elemental guy and snake guy. Position your team (except tank) in front of the altar by elemental guy. Now go aggro the snake boss with your tank and run like hell to your team (if you are a pally you can bubble, dont have earth shield up though so pally keeps aggro).

When you fight him at the elemental guy you can usually kill him before a snake even makes its way to your team. This is similar to the strat of fighting him up the stairs, but for whatever reason I found it easier to fight him at the elemental boss. You will also get the achievement for not getting wrapped.
