ram issuse

im having some issuse finding the ram i need at local stores they dont carry ddr 3 yet any how this is the shell i got

any how im not shore which ram to buy off the website any chanse some 1 could help me find it i need to use that website got computer from my only credit card is throw them

you are going to want to match your memory exactly ( such as the timing has to be the same )
maybe you can use a program like cpu-z to see what the current memory timings are ( like in DD2-800 memory a typical speed is 5-5-5-15 ) you don't want to mix 4-4-4-14 with 5-5-5-15 ,etc.

anyway, I like to use newegg.com and read the user reviews. don't buy stuff if it sounds like it has a bad rating.

ya thats y im asking i have no intent on buying 16gigs of the wrong ram that would be harsh

Can always set the CL4 rams too run at CL5 in the BIOS. The other way around is alot trickier and sometimes impossible. :P

lol i might not be the smartest guy in the world but ya the first thing i did was open the computer and looked at the ram lol

i want Kingston but id go for something else just to be done with it

so you have 3 sticks of RAM; each 1 gig sticks. and 3 empty slots?

If true, I would get 6 more gigs and stick them in the open slots.
