    Default Macaroon and dual spec...

Has anyone heard anything? I see there's an update for 3.0.9 from a friend but I've restrained myself from going back to Macaroon on the Shamans for fear of it breaking when dual-spec comes out, re-setting up 5 toons for the 10th time would not be pleasant. However, I've left Macaroon running on my Priest, lock and pally.

Has anyone heard from Maul? I read somewhere that he was unable to get to a computer or something but I'm wondering if anyone here has any further info if there are plans by him to bring Macaroon up to dual-specability when it's released on the PTR?

    Thanks!

I had the same concerns, mainly because there are going to be plentyy of UI changes come 3.1.
I just figured that if nothing else changes, I can just save a different profile for each spec and remember to change profiles when I change specs.

From what we know Macaroon could still work with dual spec.
Thinking of it.. macaroon buttons are way different from blizzard buttons (are saved locally, macros are not created via the macro interface but run directly from macaroon) so if the patch will only affect properly named "action bars" Macaroon could be safe from it.

Or maybe not, who knows what Blizzard will change? But I just wanted to say that, even without updates, there is still hope.

Very good point Tynk, I hadn't thought of using profiles for this.

I turned off server side bars when they first came out. I had problems with my bars because of Vista and having had WoW originally installed under Program Files(x86). Once the virtual store was sorted out and everything was in c:\users\public\games I found the option for server side bar storage and turned it off. If I remember correctly that was the Bongos2 breaking point and I went back to Blizzard bars. Later I switched to Macaroon then switched back when the last big patch came out.

If Macaroon works even with having to use profiles I'll probably switch the Shamans back at that point.

    Hiya all!

I am pleased to say that Macaroon is in active development for 3.1 and dual specs are working quite nicely on the PTR.

If anyone wishes to be a tester for the 3.1 version, I have a small development group going, and all one needs to do is email trinityui@live.com to express their interest.

As for my absence, the comments section on WoWInterface has it all
    Buy Maul a Coke!

I want to fix the bug and/or add the feature you requested...but I am sooooo sleeeeeepy...
